Me too! These are the kind of games where TOH & LM need to star, the tour is a golden opportunity for TOH in particular. Look forward to seeing how Carberry and Stockdale go as well. Will be interesting to follow Ryan too, he was a standout for the U20s, but after being burnt a few times, the NZ selectors publicly stated they would no longer select directly out of the ITM cup, so picking a guy who has yet to feature for Leinster senior team could be a bit risky. I suppose the USA is less pressure than facing one of the 6N sides at home in November out for NZ blood.

Looking at the Lions performances to date, and you do think Ireland are lucky Ringrose is not down in NZ, he seems to have some creativity which the Lions could do with. Ireland's gain!

Stockdale is far more interesting than TOH. The latter has been around squads for ages but he hasn't so much as made the bench for a serious match barring an injury crisis really. Schmidt obviously rates him to a point but not enough to play him in a 6N game for example. He won't have any sustained international career under Schmidt imo.

Stockdale on the other hand, is a good few years younger and is hugely talented. Sky is the limit for him if he can stay fit and break into the Ulster team, which has to be pointed out he really hasn't so far.

He played a fair a bit last year. Enough to score 9 tries. Is he a first choice player? Clearly not as he was benched at times in the run in. That was madness though and said more about Kiss's inability to pick a backline. Virtually all Ulster fans would tell you he was our most dangerous back and so include Piutau in that.

I've said it on the Ulster thread but I'd be starting him ahead of Trimble next season and like most Ulster supporters I'm a huge Trimby fan.

He's a left wing though, not sure you'd have him and Piutau starting on opposite wings.

Really liked that interview with ROG. He was so genuinely excited and energised. Fantastic to see that positivity.

I'm on Virgin Media (IE) so literally no legal way to watch it. Great situation.

So does anyone have any suggestions for somehow finding a way to watch this match online?

Have a look at the match thread on the reddit subreddit for rugbyunion as there are usually some solid suggestions there.

Premier Sports seems to have the Eir coverage for anyone who doesn't want to listen to Yanks talk about rugby.

Mike McCarthy doing the analysis for Premier Sport should be reason enough to chose it over NBC :D

We should Make Venjur listen to NBCSN just so he can do his drinking game.... he'll be hammered before the first scrum!

    LH: Healy, Kilcoyne
    HK: Scannell, Tracy, Heffernan
    TH: Bealham, Porter, Ryan
    LK: Ryan, Toner, Treadwell, Roux
    BS: Ruddock, Leavy
    OS: Reidy, VDF
    N8: Conan, JOD

    SH: Cooney, Marmion, McGrath
    OH: Carbery, Jackson
    IC: Marshall, Scannell
    OC: ROL, Ringrose
    WG: Earls, Stockdale, Zebo
    FB: Conway, TOH

    I'd go with:

    Healy, Scannell, Ryan, Toner, Treadwell, Ruddock, Leavy, Conan;
Marmion, Jackson, Earls, Scannell, Ringrose, Conway, Zebo

Tracy, Kilcoyne, Bealham, Ryan, VDF, Cooney, Carbery, TOH

Bring in the rest of the squad for the second test. I saw that Carbery is awaiting an ankle scan so his tour may be over. In that case you can bring in ROL to the 23.
