    So.....what can I say.....

I'm not sure here ladyship would approve of miniskirts, boobtubes and hoopy ear-rings. But greatful that she did chose an obscure Irish village for her comeback concert in Europe. Maybe she took a note out of Guns n Roses' book.

Edit: can you take the "of" out of the thread title.

Does hunger cause people to hallucinate? There were famines for nearly 40 years prior to that night and the famine of that time was ending...things were improving.

I did not say I believed anything.
You have an agenda that you are smart and modern.
I said there were reports a long time ago, and there were no reports today.
    That is all I said.
    Anything else is your invention.

15 eyewitnesses and 15 corroborating accounts isn't enough?

And not even one shaky vertical video when so many have phones ?

Rumour has it that the lad's parents have suffered big drop in carpet sales and set up a stall in knock and this is just a marketing ploy.

Today's special was on remnants 2.3m x 5.5m - just happens to fit most caravans

I heard it's the kid that plays eleven in stranger things doing a Sinead O'connor ala the butcher boy, that Francie Barrett is a little bollix.

Of course it is not enough. Agenda. Conspiracy. Religious. Seeing patterns where there are none. Eye witness is one of the worst forms of evidence.

Well, GTFO then. We're talking about 1879.

Have a great story of travelling up on a bus to Knock with my Nana when I was 7.

I found the whole thing quite boring, they only thing I liked was the feed we got in a restaurant in the town.

Before we left we attended Mass at the Basilica. My Nana and I sat on loose chairs in front of the altar. When Communion came around everyone in the front row stood up and the Priest came around. I stood too and nobody told me not to. When the Priest came to me I just looked at him, he said open your mouth, so I mimicked what the other people were doing.

The only problem was that I hadn't made my first Holy Communion yet. My Nana was redfaced and made it very clear to me that I was to tell nobody about what had occurred.

I held my word to her, she died last year and I told the story at her Wake.

So if 15 separate people, between the ages of 5 and 75, say that witnessed a man push another man off a bridge, you would discard their testimony unless the body was found?
Or if 15 different people gave the same account of seeing your wife having sex with someone else, you would reject it because it's a conspiracy; they must have an agenda or they are religious and are incapable of being truthful...despite being separately cross examined and interviewed multiple times over yhe years.

    Oh dear.

No, I would most likely believe in all those scenarios. Because they are plausible events. But when someone brings the supernatural into it. We are talking about a ghost appearing FFS. Then the more more likely thing is the 15 are idiots or have an agenda.

Do you have any knowledge or experience of scientific methods?

I believe that the original apparition occured but I am sceptical that this event was a genuine visitation.

Still, a day of prayer will benefit anyone who does it.

It's funny how no-one believes that supernatural stuff happens in their own time but freely believes that supernatural stuff happened all the time in the past..

    What was so different then?

I have very unpleasant memories of being taken against my desires to that god awful place...

Plenty of people believe it still happens. There is actually a paranormal forum on boards. And you are not allowed to post unless you believe. No reason allowed.

I bet very few of them would be religious... The religious tend to scoff at that sort of stuff as being utter nonsense as they pack the tae and sandwiches for the novena trips and wall staring competitions..

The 14-year-old boy was among a group of people from the travelling community from Britain that travelled to Fatima last month.
I wonder who'll benefit financially of these people at Knock?

Alternatively you could insert the word "idiots" after the word "of" instead. That would work quite well too.
