Call the SW office, ask to speak to whoever is in charge of assignment to turas and get them to sort it out.

Looking at the background of this extremely dubious UK company, on how many people have made complaints to the Minister of harassment (who has rejected them), how the jobpath scheme questions were blocked in the Dail a couple of weeks ago, how the Minister has consistently appeared vacant in the Dail when asked to provide figures for the Scheme as it's costing the taxpayer millions (since it's been around since mid-2015)

    - how come the media have not jumped at writing about this scheme?

Probably because not one of them has the balls to write about anything like that.

Don't forget, that if they get the boss's number, they will be getting onto him to find out if there are other jobs going, which of course they will naturally 'assist' him with, and the whole threadmill starts again.

Recruitment companies are leaches. Somewhat useful in limited circumstances, but more often than not they are parasitic.

    Recruitment Companies are sh*t.
They are a crap American idea that came here in the 90's, along with H.R. to take the workload off the promoted.
It sometimes worked in America, in some states, in some towns.
When or where they were found to be corrupt and how they were doing it - is seen to be genius by the people that work in their Irish counterparts.
Because for the good and the bad, we have not really got any body monitoring their behaviour.

Edit to emphasise. Our Government are using them because it is making them money - as individuals, dare i say. But do not have a clue, themselves, how recruitment works (as none of them have actually ever worked a day in their lives).

Should they ring you again, ask for their name and contact details. Do so for a week. Then see if you can file multiple harassment orders against any of them that rang you more than once.

Or, see if you can find the number of a nigerian scammer, and give the number to them.

Im in the same situation, had to sign up to jobpath in Dec 2016 and I got a job in Jan 2017 with no help from seetec and still to this day im getting phone calls, emails and letters in the post from them. I signed off the welfare in January and I don't receive anything from them but seetec are adamant I give them my employers details obviously so they can get their payments for every phone call they make to me and the employer. I went down to the welfare today and explained the situation and they don't understand why im still getting the phone calls. considering I don't get anything from them. In the last two days ive received 7 phone calls, two emails to say their trying to get through to me and also a letter that was posted out to me yesterday for another appointment with them. The whole system is a complete joke!!

Block them on your phone. Use a filter to delete their emails. File their letters in the recycling bin. Don't respond to them in any way! :)

I got a job on my own accord last year without any help from Turas nua. I had been assigned to them and attended only a few of there meetings. After I signed off the social welfare, I received numerous calls from Turas nua asking how the job was going and where I was working etc, I refused to answer these questions and thanked them for their help but they had nothing to gain by contacting me again. I knew they just wanted to use me as a fake job start and get paid by social welfare. Now a year later my employer comes to me saying he has been contacted by Turas nua asking if I work for the company full time and asking for a letter stating that I do so with my hours etc on it, I am absolutely furious that they have gone to these lengths to find out where I work and contact my employer without me even knowing in the hope they will get this letter and pretend to the social welfare that they have guided me and got me this job. Surely what they have done here is completely illegal

That's outrageous! Is your employer going to send them the letter? I know if it was me I'd be asking for it not to be sent.

Better still, ask the employer to send a letter saying: "Sorry, no, never heard of him!" :)

No they won't send it. I'll have to get some further legal advice.

Similar experience here. I only attended the first briefing session and another meeting with them. I had attended a job interview months before being referred to Turas Nua and was on a panel waiting to start with local authority

I'd say only 20 mins after I signed off SW I got a call from them. They asked where I was working, who my manager was and how long my contract was. I had initially mentioned the LA where I would be working but refused to give any more info.
I then got an email asking for all the same information. I replied asking why they needed it. They replied, ignored my question and asked again all of the above questions. Eventually she replied saying she needed the information to close my file. Such absolute BS.

I replied saying I was not providing any information to them and I did not consent to them contacting my employer as Turas Nua had zero input into my job and I did not want them claiming any success fee for my placement.

I have since got numerous calls from them. All gone unanswered.

I then contacted my Manager and my HR dept and told them what was going on. They will refuse to engage with them if they do make contact.

They should be pulled up for this
Does anyone know who I can report them to? It's actually fraud and should be stopped.

Learned my lessons with those guys
When you got into things like social welfare , Turas Nua , seetec whatever then take a new email account and a new prepaid phone number use those for them so long you need it
When you will get a new job (without them) switch of the prepaid phone and close your email account used with them so they cant contact you anymore
Only way they will contact you is by post but simple dump the letters into the blue bin or light a nice warm fire with them

Surely there are data protection implications here, how would they find out the name and address of a company you work for? DSP and Revenue? They are likely covered but surely an employer would be in breach if they shared details with TN or Seetec

Same ! I was working part time and got referred to them, went to the first meeting and a week later got made full time in the same job so signed off.

I got this job with no help from them. When I signed off I asked in the social welfare did I need to contact Seetec again and the said no there was no need at all because they would know off and no longer needed assistance.

Since then they have been calling me, my employer and even calling into another branch of the company and asking for me !

To be honest I'm just glad it wasn't just me they hassling.

I was wondering if anyone knows what happens when your file has been closed because you found employment but then find yourself unemployed again. Do you have to start the process all over again or do they just focus on people who have never attended there before. I would assume that once your file is closed that's it but maybe I'm wrong.

I was in that position last year. As soon as you sign back on Turas Nua will be notified and they'll be in contact about a meeting within a week. You'll continue on with them from where you left off, so you won't have to do the group meeting again. You're signed up to Turas Nua for a year. The time you've already done with them counts towards your year this time, if that makes sense. It's treated as if you paused your time with them when you got a job, and you're restarting from that point.

That situation is different, because Turas Nua wouldn't have been getting paid for you. In your situation you were excused from Turas Nua in order to go on TUS. Turas Nua would be due payment for Eclipse510 for getting him into employment. They're supposed to get people into employment for at least 12 months to get there full payment. They'll be notified by social welfare that they won't get anymore payment for him, so they'll contact him to get him back into meetings.
