I hadn't seen 1 since gen 2 came out but caught 1 on wednesday and 1 on thursday.

A shadow popped up when i was on the bus at hawkins st. One was sitting nicely in trinity but i couldnt get off the bus quick enough. Bus pulled in at the bottom of georges st and I practically ran backwards to get it. Thankfully he was still there and i caught him. 1.9km later and one pops out of a 10km egg! I new it would happen but i couldnt risk leavin the one in trinity just in case! A long walk ahead now!

Don't do it! It'll take far too many candy/stardust to power up. Do you not have a higher cp one with decent IVs?

I have this one but I wouldn't invest stardust into it unless it had ivs of 82% or above.

I don't get it. Feraligatr is never going to compete for the highest level of big gyms, is there any purpose to looking for a high IV cyndaquil, especially if you have better Pokemon to invest in?

I thought with the amount of candy you had that you might have a few more potential evolution candidates. I personally wouldn't evolve the low cp guy. You'd end up using all of your candy and a huge chunk of stardust on a mon that won't even place in gyms. If you input all of the details into a site like this it will tell you exactly how much it will cost you to power up.

My Dragonite had been on a gym at Blanchardstown for almost 3 weeks but came home yesterday. First time having a mon on a gym for more than 2 days. Got a good 190 coins out of him. Ah well

Thanks for the advice guys I'll hold out! I know the good iv thing isn't that important for some pokemon bit it's a goal I've set myself and there's only a handful of mons I've left to get with good ivs.

Its not ridiculous. Its good game design from a company that wants to make money from micro transactions. Incentivise the players to spend cash on pokecoins. Its better than some mobile games which you nearly have to spend money to play beyond a certain level cap.
Obviously the 'good' view is from the developers point of view rather than the players, but the gym system does give an alternative to using real money!
And some players have found a work around by using your monthly free phone credit on the Play store instead of cash.

Did another mass evolve last night. So got 3 of my last 5 missing evolutions. Just missing Unown and Tyranitar now. (71 Larvitar candies and walking!)

Was at a friend's bbq in the middle of nowhere last night when I realised I hadn't gotten my day 6 pokestop or catch at 11:30pm. Texted my girlfriend and managed to convince her to log in as me and walk around the corner to the nearby pokestop and to also catch a pidgie.

This is the same girlfriend who used 100 coins to buy pokeballs. I think this makes us even.

I had the most extraordinary day yesterday. You'll never believe it, but it really happened.

Haven't had any decent hatches from 10k eggs for a few weeks (sudowoodo, then mantine, then sudowoodo again, and so on), and haven't even been getting any 10k eggs for the past week at least. Then in the last couple of days I managed to find 4 of them. Put them in incubators as soon as I found them, took a walk to Salthill, and hatched them at various stages. The first one? Chansey! Then about 30 minutes later, the next one was hatching. Chansey!! And just before I got home, egg number 3 hatched. Chansey!!! 3 in a row, with 16, 29 and 31 candies each, respectively. Wow. What are the Chanseys?! :pac:

I can confirm my last two 10 km hatches have been Chansey also!

One with 32 candy, it was blissful to say the least.

Chansey just popped there for me too, just after pineco and sudowoodoo. Whatever about pineco, sudowoodoo is a disappointing 10k hatch. I didn't think they were even in 10k any longer

Hit 7 day streak today and FINALLY got an Upgrade. It was the last evolution item I was missing but at last it arrived and so I was able to add Porygon2 to my Dex today.

Still don't quite have all the item Pokemon though, as I'm still several Sunkern candies short of getting a Sunflora.

Area where I walk my dogs have zero spawns so I usually pop an incense.
Today got a Ryndon (2511) and a Charmander.

Nice walk....hatched a few 2 km eggs.

Went into town to get a few more eggs and this is what my egg section looks like.

And RNG being the way it is.......I waited so long for a 2nd Sunstone to get my own Sunflora (150+ Sunkern candy) I got one last week and was finally able to add it to the dex a few days ago and of course today I picked up a Sunstone for my 7 day streak......as predicted!!!
