And if they won't take them. Dump them at sea.

    Alcatraz!

    How many more times?!

Send them back to one of the many conservative Muslim countries in the Middle East they are so determined to belong to.

Or set up a Guantanamo Bay style camp in somewhere remote like the Falklands and leave them rot there for life!

So how do we deal with them then? You're clearly more enlightened than I so perhaps you can give us the solution.

I don't have an easy solution for you Audrey. I can understand that you are desperately searching for a nice neat solution for this, but I don't think an easy solution exists.

You could use that. You could also bring in internment. You could bring in emergency powers to put suspects under house arrest.

I'm open to discussing the merits and demerits of any of these ideas.
But deporting natural born subjects is a stupid non starter of an idea.

Many of those laws are either on the statute books or have in the past been tried and failed.

For example the UK can on a temporary basis exclude any person from returning to the UK has been done once since 2015.

For example part 4 of the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001 has been repealed that allowed detention.

You can't legislate against this kind of attack happening, or do anything to prevent it unfortunately. They took a van and started stabbing people ffs.

It's an unfortunate part of modern life in the West.

Delighted the police took the steps they did to deal with these scumbags.

No, I'm criticising what looked to me like an attempt to play down what's happening.

Perhaps I took the poster wrong.

    Perhaps you did.

So, take people on a watch list and drown them at sea!

Is this the level of idiocy we're at?

I understand your feelings, I really do but I don't think conceding defeat to these maniacs like that is good enough.

Why can't we get tough on them, why can't we lock them up or send them back where they want to be?

Nice to see Teresa may coming out strongly about it and describing it as a" terrible incident " my idea of a terrible incident is a car accident or a building collapse , not religious fanatics tooling up and stabbing , bombing and running people down , tell it for what it is , Muslim extremism brought on by unchecked immigration and soft western laws by soft western governments , religion in all its forms should be barely tolerated but Islam is the scum of them all

Have we heard from any Muslim leaders condemning the attack and speaking out against all this butchery , Europe seems to be reaping the seeds of a generation of governance by soft touch liberals and their laws , we don't need to integrate these into western society we need to stop them at the borders and let them sort out their own mess in whatever **** hole they crawled out of

You said removing citizenship won't achieve anything. I pointed out it does. Can you not acknowledge you are wrong? If going to these places does not make them more effective terrorists then why go?

Fair point. But under what circumstances do you revoke citizenship? There are literally thousands of people on the watchlist?

And for what offences do you remove citizenship?

So you think there is absolutely nothing we can do and we absolutely accept it as part of normal 21st century life?

I think I need to become some kind of Police Chief or something because the whip would be cracked as hard as it could possibly be. We have been soft touches for too long and now this. Time to cut out the PC bull**** and fight this fight.

Why are you trying to play down the severity of the situation?

Ok it's not every other week but it's still happening far too often.

There's literally no use in getting hysterical about the situation, nor is there any good in making up facts like the one you made up.

How many casualties in Syria? Yemen? Wherever else the UK and US are bombing? Its ludicrously insane to think there would be no reprisal.

The world has gotten a lot smaller and the colonial days where you could destroy countries, enslave populations, because they were so far away and no one really cared at home, are well and truly behind us.

Yeah, that's not how it works.

Yeah, that's not how it works.

The country has to accept them back and if they're not citizens, why should they accept them?

If they're citizens of the UK, they should be imprisoned.

Your talking out the wrong hole there M8, you know well enough that the lads caught with the semitex never attended mass like the Muslim scum who carry out attacks across Europe and believe so much that Allah will give them loads of virgins in their version of heaven that they think it's fine to die!
    So stop trying to deflect!

Do you think their families and friends should be arrested and jailed?

How many more times? Which government will be happy to accept British nationals deported for suspected terrorism?

Because behaving like animals to deal with animals means they will have won.

So we sit back and do nothing and just continue watching and waiting for them to strike again?

Anyone in close contact with them who didn't report their radicalism should be held fully responsible.

I wonder if the increase in arrests this week pushed this terror cell into acting. I don't see the sense in announcing arrests on terror matters. They knew the net was closing and they had to go before they were caught.

If you were in cell of 4 people and you see that the other 3 have been arrested, guess what?

These guys could have been in a 4 man cell, 1 was arrested, they knew he would flip and had to go.

There is a distinct lack of outrage from the UK Muslim society. They need to be more vocal to show that is not how to behave. You cannot have your religion in a western society and think the world will return to a 7th century existence on your beliefs.

The U.K. Muslim society have been incredibly vocal and sympathetic just like the rest of the nation. I would post a couple of videos but unable to arm. Just have a google around my friend. I've seen loads of videos, photos, articles etc of Muslims condemning these attacks. Very naive for you to think they aren't outraged at these atrocities. They are in fact more outraged than you lot because it paints them good Muslims in a very bad light.

So you would be happy to internment bought back to the island of Ireland?

In Ireland youbhave dissident republicans (6kg of semtex found just the other day) shouldnall dissidents and their families/friends be arrested and jailed? How about anyone who visits the SF store and buys/reads republican literature?

Same for the UK, If a person visits jihadi websites and reads literature should they and anyone remotely connected be arrested?

I have no love for these murdering scum and would have no issue putting a bullet into any one of them but to see the same lock them all up, ban islam/Muslims, deport them and anyone connected to them rhetoric being spouted in yet another thread is just stupidity at it's greatest.

Why are you making up arguments as if that's what people implied. Usually a tactic of someone unable to debate coherently.

Anyone jailed and deported should be done so only after investigation. This isn't nazi germany ffs.

I don't know which ones, I'm not an expert on world governments.

If you're not willing to get rid of the maniacs though can you at least agree they should be taken off the streets?

That's why people are on the watchlist though, they have been investigated and fo7nd not to have broken any laws. Some are saying jail and deport anyone on the watchlist regardless if wether they have broken a law

Considering one poster here already said we should line them up and gas them, its not hard to see how Nazi Germany began.

Sitting on the fence won't get us anywhere. We need action.
