Diff things. One is an accountant, one is a soldier, one is a retail manager, one studying to be a paramedic . :) One a legal secretary :)

That's one side the other side banking, IT, medical receptionist ( she wanted to be an Irish dancer had like 150 trophies!)

Various things; a soldier, a politician, a spy, a businessman, a lawyer. Whatever I can get my hands on I suppose.

Well done, there was another lady around these parts for a while who posted about being both a chef and a writer too. Must be a common career choice for people!

A hippy! Honestly, I thought after seeing the movie Hair that that was the life for me. Failing that I wanted to be a writer.

I remember we had a Spanish couple call to the door looking for a place to pitch their tent for a few nights back when I was 7 or 8. They stayed out in the field behind the house, lovely people!

For a few months after that I told my mother I wanted to be a tourist when I grew up :pac:

So many things. When I was very small I wanted to marry a prince and become a princess. I remember talking with my little friends in the yard of my primary school about my princess dream :) Next up it was an archaeologist. I wasad about dinosaurs. During my teens it was a writer, a band manager, a vet, a social worker, a psychologist, moving very much in to helping others.

Quite funny, really. I'm now a retired, rural pest controller. Living in an old family farm house. Amidst nothing But farms. For as far as the eye can see, in any direction. And I have full permission to set traps on more land than I'm now fit enough to even walk to.

Oh, and my farmer friends slog their guts out, working dawn till dusk and beyond. I just mooch about, looking for tracks 'n sh!t.

    F**king cracked it, didn't I?! :D[/QUOTE]

Where did you get a job as a rural pest controller.

Or maybe you were a guard in rural Ireland.

Had my head in the clouds for most of my childhood. Wanted to be a professional tennis player, then a writer, then a singer, then back to a writer again - at which point I decided to study Journalism and ended up working in broadcast instead.

At 31 I still don't know what I want to be. Thinking a lawyer is next on the list.

I went to a bar with a boyfriend when I was a youngish teenager, and on impulse, asked for a Martini. Neat. I hadn't a clue what it was or how it's normally drunk. I bit back the ''shaken, not stirred'', thank God. I had trouble keeping my face from turning inside out from the taste.

Where did you get a job as a rural pest controller.

Self employed. I was once in the local creamery when the van of one of the big nationals pulled up. This poor bloke got out. Uniform struck me as somewhat 'well worn' and, as he came past me, I saw there was absolutely no life in his dull, black eyes.

Just think' His entire career consisted of driving from one soulless warehouse to another. Walking to the same points. Kicking a box. Opening it. Staring balefully in ~ probably long since past the point of even thinking, " What the hell went so wrong, in my life, that I've come to this? ".

If only we'd met some years ago. Before I retired and gave all my gear to a mate in england. I could have shown you more traps than you'd ever imagined! I'd also been a Trap Collector. I had every make and size and model of all of them! Half a dozen Fenn Mink Cages alone. All different.

Ever passing through my neck of the woods? I could show ye my Fenn Cat Cage. Special Edition. Only made to special order. Green plastic coated mesh! And my Fuller Cat Cage. Built like a f**king tank.

But, if ye Really know anything about the old traps and their history? I think the Fenn Mk 1 Vermin should do the trick!
