Bamboo screen for privacy

Hi,

Really hope someone can help. I'm having a lot of trouble finding the right type of bamboo for the above, I'm getting some conflicting advice with regard to what's clumping and what isn't (it's close to the house so would prefer clumping and I don't trust the control system/barrier)

Is it possible to get clumping bamboo that will grow (or can be cut back to) 6-8 feet with the cane exposed at the bottom. It's a small back garden so I'm looking for something that will give privacy but still let light through.
