I am employed by the HSE and have an interview coming up through the Public Appointment Services. I know when you have an interview for another job in the HSE you can apply for interview leave, does anyone know if it also the case for jobs through the PAS?

Ask your manager as leave for interview is usually generally up to their discretion. If its an interview with PAS for a position outside of HSE I'd be inclined to take leave for it, you can ask but they're not obliged to give you time off for it.

Actually I just found this in the HSE terms and conditions 2009...I don't know if there is a more up to date version...

    Candidate for Interview
An employee is granted a maximum of six days pay in any one year, to enable him/her to appear before selection boards for posts advertised by Public Appointments Service, a government department, the Health Service Executive, or a local authority.

So it sounds as though I can get leave for the interview.

6 flippin days' leave to do interviews, plus travel time? I've heard it all now.

I certainly won't get travel time and don't get flexi time either. We don't even get travel if we travel to courses.
