The two most dangerous road users on Irish roads at the moment are: Prius drivers and helmet cam cyclists.

The Prius drivers believe that just because they drive a battery-powered "eco-friendly" car they are absolved from any motoring misdemeanors and can do what they like on the road.

Meanwhile, cyclists who have a silly little camera mounted on their helmets think that they have license to zip in and out of urban traffic at speed. I mean do they want to have an accident or something?

Prius is not just battery powered. It has a petrol engine that does most of the work. Maybe we should change the word "dangerous" in the thread title to "ignorant" and then you have a better chance of winning than any Prius driver of cyclist?

I'm a Prius driver. I'm about as dangerous as any other driver on the road.

I can't wait for the day when diesel drivers get shafted for car tax and VRT.
