Redmi Note 4 - increase volume

Hi I bought a redmi note 4 about 6 months ago. Happy enough, does the job for my humble mobile phone needs However one thing I've noticed is that the sound is quite low. Even at max volume it's quite poor - even worse with headphones. I've tried a few sound boost apps but none work. Anyone any advice? Thanks in advance
