There has been on average about 2 weeks between last 4 events so might not have to wait too long for next one.
Im hoping for a Cyndaquil and/or Totodile nest with striking distance soon to complete those evolutions , then an Electric event would suit me best

There's a cyndaquill nest in Iveagh gardens and there's also a spawn point in Merrion Square which you can pick up while getting your Houndour candies in the same spot :D

If you're in Dublin that is.

    Citywest hotel infested with Totodile

After complaining about the last few (non) events here, this one was brilliant for me. I ended up getting my Tyrannitar, Ampharos and Typhlosion, leaving me just Unown and Girafarig to complete the dex. I also hatched a Snorlax, my first hatched one, yesterday to complete the week.

Now, do I do a four hour round trip on Monday to my "local" Girafarig nest??

    Outsourced their cleaning work probably.

I really enjoyed the event. I'd been away for 3 weeks so hadn't gotten to play at all and was on the cusp of giving up. Right back in. Although walking to work and being met wi poxy goldeens was nae joy.

Of course! I can't believe you even had to ask!

That Merrionsquare square spawn point is really weird! Houndour stick out like a sore thumb and then towards the east side, cyndaquil crops up often enough.

On a personal note, my 10th gilgar hatch was followed up by an 11th :(

My Magikarp nest no longer appears to be a magikarp nest :(
Going to check back in the morning to see for certain

There are 2 nests in the square the east side one has much fewer spawns but for some reason usually spawns better mons.

Event was good for me. Got my tyranitar which was my aim. Got feraligatr thanks to the nest in citywest. On 90 candies with mareep so another hatch will get me very close. And got gold medals for rock and fire type.

Here's what I have left to complete the european dex:
Quilava - Typhlosion (have the candies just waiting on a good iv one)
Flaffy - Ampharos (34 candies to go)
    Unown
    Girafarig
    Forretress (iv)
    Steelix (iv)
Scizor (iv and another metal coat)

I aim to have the best appraisal for every pokemon so with a lot of these I'm just waiting to catch or hatch a good one. When scyther and onix used to be in 10ks I never hatched either and have only hatched one of each since they moved to 5ks. Neither had the best appraisal. Was hoping to see more onix during the rock event.

Think i have a frequent spawn site in Cork city that will get me there albeit a bit slower , tricky little cynaquill there today , relieved me of 7 ultra balls before I captured him.

And St.Endas Park in Rathfarnham is an excellant Cyndaquil nest.
I got over 50 candy in an hour earlier this week.

Edit: just spotted original query was from Cork

St Endas in Cyndaquil now?! Not fair, it had Totodile early on in gen 2 - wish Niantic would give Waterford a gen 2 starter nest!

Looks like some proper shaving going on around bushy park, Ching070215 being the guilty party.

What's that pouring out of that cracked egg? It's only 32 of the finest Godzilla candy. My powerhouse still has one more level up to go, but is now in number one position at 3385 cp.

A year late but I started playing this yesterday, damn it's addictive. Reading back the thread and seeing all you guys that have been grinding for a year and still haven't "caught them all" is making me wonder if I made the right decision to start. I have 39 caught so far.

I had no idea that the team you picked at the start would influence the gyms you could train at etc. I just picked yellow cause I liked the guys hair :o

It's annoying because I read you can just train at friendly gyms but every gym in Waterford seems to be blue, I can even access one from my bedroom.

Should I just avoid all gyms until I reach a certain level?
