Mick Fennelly had a decent game as Ballyhale beat Stephen's by 7 points. He started in midfield but got more into the game when he went to centre back in the second half. Looks fit enough. Colin Fennelly had a great game at full forward , scoring 1-5 and setting up a goal. Darren Mullen played well getting a goal and three points

Adrian got the goal he really is a great prospect if he keeps his head down.darren also hurled well.I don't think anyone writing off the shamrocks especially with a few more to come back barring injuries I think they'll be the team to beat
Overall it was a good weekend with most of the injured lads back and no fresh injuries expect lennon who limped off and leahy who didnt play,I don't think it was to serious.
Was anyone at the comer match?

Yes was very poor, Martins were canon fodder. Very hard to say that anyone for comer stood out. Conor Delaney caught a few nice balls but the Martins forwards were dreadful inept. Conor Fogarty had nothing to do at all.

Thanks the mucky boys look in trouble this year granted they would be hard bet in a relegation final but this could be the year they go down.

Martins had a few injured and away, but would not have changed the result a complete lack of a scoring forward line and some atrocious decisions close to goal made the score line worse than normal but comer were wasteful and there was a lot of messing around and very little good hurling from either side.

Sorry with no more matches before the Wexford game and presuming Padraig Walsh is out, I would go with the following team.
Murphy, Murphy, Holden, O'Shea, Cleere, Joyce, Buckley, Fennelly, Fogarty, Walsh,Hogan, Reid, Aylward, Fennelly,
    Blanchfield.

Probably won't be a million miles from the team but Ive heard different reports over the weekend bout padraig walsh I think management are very hopefull he'll be ok but weather or not he'll be fit enough we won't know for a few weeks but I'm sure the management have a plan B in place if his not ready. It'd be interesting to know who are the 2 full backs in training

Blanchfields form at the moment doesnt justify selection imo. Nicky Cleere has been far better for the bridge so far this year.

Is Holden getting on by today's performance? Honest question, wasn't there but heard he was roasted.

Tullogher had an easy win v the fenians. Fenians with 17 or 18 young subs but a poor reflection on fenians teams of old. Walter hurled v well for tullogher without actually scoring. Played very well in deep position. Pat Hartley outstanding. Conor hennessy and cian o Donohoe also v good for the southerners

Shamrocks looked very good yesterday. After a promising start for us we are very under pressure now. Kilkenny is very competitive .

Seen 3 Tullogher matches the last few years. Pat Hartley is the best back in the country, but at the moment the standard is after dropping

Unfortunately for pat when he got his chance with kilkenny he was played midfield as we had a super half back line. He is an outstanding hurler as a defender

Was at ballyragget v thomastown game, competitive game. Ballyragget seemed to be the better hurlers but they were out fought and ended up losing a battle.

Ballyragget led 6 point to 1 after about 10 minutes but fell in and out of the game and thomastowns bench and goals clinched this one. Ballyragget scored a goal late on and nearly scored another with last play of the game but had to settle for a point and in turn a one point loss.

They are sharp up front with Kevin Kelly hurling well but he missed a few frees and chances that could have won the game.

For thomastown John Donnelly ran the show and is a real outlet on the puckouts, Jonjo Farrell was quiet but worked very hard and won some vital possession at centre forward and laid it off.

Robbie Donnelly scored 3 goals from play and was excellent on the frees while Joe Brennan hurled well for ballyragget. Ballyragget seemed to have done a lot of gym work and seem more physical than previously.

Ballyragget will be there or thereabouts but they need a few leaders to step it up. Thomastown worked hard and have a few nice hurlers and a strong bench.

Shamrocks get their first win with a well deserved win against the Village. Shamrocks were boosted by the return of Mick Fennelly and two of the Mullen clan. Fennelly looked fit and moving normally. Barring injury he'll be playing against Wexford. The usual suspects were prominent for both teams. Colin Fennelly caused mayhem for the Village on the edge of the square particularly in the first half when the Shamrocks were playing into the breeze and strong (at times) sun. TJ was his usual clever self. Richie Reid was dominant at CB. Joey had a good tussle with Walton at FB with both breaking even. Adrian Mullen lined out in the corner. Grew into the game. Got some nice scores and set up the third goal.
Jackie wasn't as dominant as in the previous games. Larks got some nice scores off breaking ball and was always there in support. Scanlon got a goal and had a good tussle Fennelly in MF. Talk of Shamrocks demise is premature on this afternoons showing.

I didn't think Joey and Walton came close to breaking even. Walton well on top and a few times Joey was coming out with ball he coughed up possession very easily

Like Blackcards posted team as probably the best we have right now save that I think Walsh will be there instead of Cleere. Joey is too loose but given that Wexford will name a FF (McDonald) but play without one, he will be without any pressure and should do fine. Later on I think we may need another FB though.

When is the leinster final and is he expected to be back or has he committed to soccer for the summer?

Would not worry as Irish under age teams generally fail to qualify for anything

If there was any tiny little bit of complacency in the minds of the senior players or management in the build-up to this Wexford match, then yesterday should have completely eradicated it.
