A bit of common sense and balance when organising a wedding.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-39984752

Pippa's wedding was just as big a deal as Rory's in terms of celebrities and royals attending but Pippa allowed the media to get a few photos and realised whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

None of this lark of security, private detectives and lake patrols that Rory took to in order to prevent the plebs seeing anything from his percious little wedding.

Fair play Pippa and James and up yours Rory.

Private is the way, as far as I'm concerned. If Rory wanted a private day then let him off. All of that showboating and waving to the plebs like you're royalty isn't for everyone. I'm not arsed about having a gawk at the weddings of complete strangers.

And I'd wager that Pippa's wedding included far more security than Rory's- and all tax payer funded too, as the Duke and Duchess and their children were in attendance.

Probably prefer to be chilling with his posse and not some over the top wedding.

    Why so bitter?

He wanted a private wedding. Doesn't seem fair to judge him for wanting what most normal people would want.

There was a distinct lack of arse at Rorys wedding

What arse? Genuinely? I could not get over the way people were ranting and raving about this arse as if she had it out on display. To this day I see no arse worth the furore.

She definitely has a nice bit of an auld arse on her.

Pippa is a socialite so it's in her interest to play ball with the media.

Rory was fully entitled to privacy.

Some women are not too keen on it though

Why would you care about rorys wedding?
How would you like to be hassled by random people 24 seven. He probably can't even take a piss half the time without someone in his face. A wedding is a private gathering of family and friends. Feck everyone else I say fair play to him. I don't understand people's obsessions with celebs.

I dont care about Rory's wedding but I think, as someone that makes a lot of money from being in the public eye / playing golf on TV etc, he should have allowed some level of media / photos etc.

I just reckon that Pippa & James got it about right considering it is also a big celebrity wedding.

just a comment really, I am not particularly into royalty myself - just credit where it's due and a critique of Rory in this case. As regards his golf, I would still support him.

I thought the idea of crazy security at celebrity weddings was to allow a magazine to have exclusive access to the photos. That would seem to be more up McIlroy's street to me. He doesn't seem like the shy, retiring private wedding type.

The subject of the thread makes it difficult to know for sure but from your username you appear to be male.

A fella creating a thread to bitch about celebrity weddings is downright weird.

    Hand back your man-card.
