Do you think people who have done bad things deserve 'karma'?

I don't mean some sort of pseudo scientific/religious crap where the universe balances out good and evil.

I mean where a group of teens bully a kid to suicide, then a few years later another kid goes on a random mass shooting and kills the bully or perhaps a mass shooting randomly happens to target a family member of the bully and not themselves.

People will say that 'no one deserve things like this' but is this true?

No doubt about it. What goes around comes around.

In fact I am going through it now and I deserve it.

    Karma

What you describe OP is revenge.

Karma is dished out by nature, and I've a few people I'm wishing Karma on, but so far I'm disappointed, although one had to be rushed into hospital for emergency surgery - however disappointingly he survived.

you could call it cause and affect, or guilt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

No, that would perpetuate the cycle of injustices (because of the other innocent victims or because of innocent people connected to the target-the original bully- who suffer in an unforeseen way because of the target' death)
The best revenge is a life well lived.

In every thread that the poster you quoted makes a comment in , people like you have a go at the way the op phrases their posts , I don't know why , is it to make you seem smarter than the op or to try and get thanks , I don't think there's any real need to post and be a **** if people don't like it

How do we know that kid being bullied wasn't receiving their own dose of karma for their earlier transgressions?

What you're talking about is revenge, vigilantism not karma and I don't agree with it.

I couldn't condone any society that allows you take the law into your own hands that way.

Karma is something that happens naturally and in some cases it would be deserved.

Karma is a BS way for the wronged party to feel some day what was done to them will be made good. That's it. It doesn't exist. I am ashamed to say I am one of those people that would love if it did exist though :pac:

That's a very specific example which wouldn't be all that common I'd imagine. I don't think it's ever happened in Ireland anyway.

When it comes to kids and bullying well I'd find it hard to see how anyone could justify either the bullying aspect, or the bullies being shot and killed. That would a be a truly tragic situation where there would be no winners, just unnecessary loss of life. I don't think it would be right for anyone to feel a sense of justice in that actual example.

    The universe doesn't care.
It would be nice if c*nts got their comeuppance in the world and sometimes they do - but karma it's not.

    The universe doesn't care.

They're just being anally retentive, I'd just ignore it. You'll only invite more of the same if you pay attention to it.

So its not the traditional Karma but a mixup of the different conjectures of what Karma can be.

A Karma Chameleon, if you will.

Because you're harping on about how powerful it is, back up your claims is what they're asking.
