Reapplying for the same job... desperate?

Hi, I'd welcome some opinions on my situation
Last year I had an interview for a job, I thought it went well but I got the dreaded letter saying I wasn't successful, at the time I was upset as I thought I really had it in the bag, I emailed the interviewer asking for feedback but I didn't receive any reply.

I've seen the job is still up online it's only regularly been put back up, I applied again and I've been called for a screening
It was a different HR lady who contacted me this time but I've noticed on the confirmation email it's the last lady's name,
Am I coming across desperate? I just really want this job
But maybe I should accept that they didn't think I was suitable!
It's been a year I've been in another job but it's really only a temporary one until I find something better
If I get through the screen I'm possibly going to be back in front of the same panel I was last time answering the same questions and then the fact i asked for feedback they might think I'm cheeky
    What should I do?

If I was the interviewer, I'd be impressed that you came back tbh. It's a great opportunity for you to talk about what you've done in the intervening year to try get up to scratch.

Also, I never understand people that don't ask for feedback. It was pretty rude of them to ignore your request.

Reapply, I know someone who applied for the same job 8 times before he got it. Didn't do 8 interviews but did at least two if I remember, in the job a couple of years now and they are happy with him.

Thanks for reply... yeah I was just wondering where I went wrong but when they didn't reply I felt abit desperate
Oh In my head I feel like it will be like a scene from a movie where I go in and give them a powerful speech and they are so impressed they give me the job
But in real life I'll prob go in and freeze and feel like a stalker lol

Should I bring up the fact I interviewed last year at the screening

If you can show you've grown in that year in a way to help the role, I'd say yes

The application process for most jobs, often asks if have ever applied for work at the company before. Be honest.

No, you won't come across as desparate by applying for a job twice, especially as it been a years since your last application.

No, asking for feedback is not being cheeky. But if are still miffed that you did not receive any, don't let it show during the interview/screening process. Don't take it personally. Maybe the overworked HR person just didn't have time to reply to your request for feeeback. Maybe she just forgot. Maybe it's not company policy to give feedback. Either way, you don't want to appear to be accusing them of sloppiness/lazyness etc etc.

It shows you don't get disheartened and give up.easy which would be a trait I would look for in a potential employee. Then again, you might not be what they are looking for.

I'll tell you one thing about not applying will I?
You won't get the job that way for sure

Oh very much go for it.
Maybe the person they hired left, or was so awful that they were let go, or that the project was delayed and the requirement was no longer necessary (very common).
