Volvo S40 1.6 diesel 2006 P138B?

    Hi guyz

    I jus scanned for fault codes and (P138B - POWER TRAIN = glow plug relay system voltage) came up. Can someone help me to understand so i wont have to spend extra money in workshops and so on.

    My cmax has the fault (same 1.6 tdci engine).
    I haven't bothered doing anything on mine as it doesn't affect the car whatsoever.
    I did look it up tho and seen it could be a faulty glow plug or the glow plug relay as water seems to get into the relay.

    There are 4x glowplugs on the rear of the engine, AFAIK these are wired in parallel so when all x4 go the circuit is open and cause a fault code.

    Easy enough to check if they are bad.

    They are located at the back of the engine and are reachable. Just pull off the connector and check the resistance with a multimeter from between the tip and the engine block. They should be <5ohms each.
