So, I was sitting in my house yesterday afternoon with the window open when suddenly I heard the distinct sound of a prop.. but there was something different about this one... I'm used to Cessna's, ATR's and S-92's flying over... but this droning sound was distinctly different and getting louder as it got closer.

So I approached the window with immense trepidation, and low and behold, flying directly over my house at I'm guessing less than 1000 ft was a Catalina... it was majestic, and loud and the perfect tonic for a quiet Sunday afternoon.

Does anyone know what it was doing? an hour so later a formation of single engine trainers (Air Corp I think) flew over too.
