I bought a Vodafone smart 7 3 months ago,and it won't charge,it keeps flashing the white light at the top of the phone

i have this aswell, an official samsung charger worked for me for a while (must just be better quality or something) and then finally the charging port gave up altogether. I think they were made with a dodgy charging port.
