How to get a phone in the house

    Have a contract with a broadband provider
    Moved into a house and there is a phone line in the house unknown number or name of last occupier
    House is rural , provider cant get the details and told me to contact eir about it
    Done today but they don't want or cant help me with it
    Only thing they want is to connect it as new with a contract for 18 months
    How to get it without a contract with them???

    If Eir can set it so can everyone else. Sky are usually too thick to manage this step though, so go with anyone else.

    Sky can do it, they done it for my sister in rural Carlow. They can do it via their NLP process and an eircode.
