    Hi

Long story short client upgraded to 360MB broadband and got the new VM Hub. He has a third party secure firewall/router that connects back to his office in London. A requirement of theirs is the external IP needs to be on this firewall and no NAT/DMZ etc.

However, when we turn the New VM Modem into bridge mode we are not getting an external address from the VM side.

Tried all 4 ports. Does the VM traffic come tagged with VLANs or should it just be simple DHCP ?

Also checked to see if it was a v6 or 4 tunnell which it dosent appear to be.

    Cheers.

With the VM HUB set to bridge mode , plug a pc/laptop into one of the LAN ports, are you getting an ip address automatically?

Since the upgrade did the connection go to ipv6?

Yes since the new modem came.

The CISCO has a regular DHCP client on facing the Virgin Hub. Tried a laptop still no luck.

Reset back to router mode on the hub and its back working with a V4 address. Very strange.
