New Ed Sheeran video shot in galway.

Okay so first off, I know the song will annoy some haha. And the choice of name is beyond annoying. But thoughts on the music video? I feel its a pretty good representation of the city and pretty well made

A good representation? I have never took a punch in Galway, and still don't know where Grafton Street is there.

    :D

While I do think the music video is great I'm sick to death of hearing that song and his other one "shape of you" on the radio. They are two of the most overplayed songs on the radio at the moment.

It is about a girl from Galway by any chance?

Does it feature a scene with Ed shedding his skin?

Dancing on a table in O'Connell's pub in Eyre Square like Saoirse Ronan without getting swiftly thrown out is not an accurate representation of Galway.

Having lived here for 4 years, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt the power tripping bouncers employed in this town would have had them kicked out as soon as the girl started dancing on the table.

Apart from that I like the video :D

He deserves a forum of his own on Boards now at this stage.

Carlow Girl or Navan Men... would be more accurate.

Boards.ie badly needs a 'Ed Sheeran' forum at this stage.

Stick it into the 'General Terrorism' forum which is badly needed also.

Definitely big in the US, not sure about other countries.

It's a nice advert for Galway from a tourism standpoint, will probably get a few hundred million views of on youtube.

    Yes.

State of you was number 1 for 12 weeks in the US, for example.

Heard an interview with/about the guy on Irish radio and he seems like a decent person, singing down the phone to young people with terminal illnesses and all that. Fair play.

Nah, I don't buy that noise Tom man. This Sheeran lad is basically being used by the established record industry to create a false "everything is groovy" and cutesy mindset amongst his young fans.
Today, All young people, those who are healthy and also those who are ill, are totally ignored, and have been totally forgotten and left behind by the mainstream establishment. The mainstream establishment record label this Sheeran lad is part of. Young people should be out there, mobilised and addressing to change this f**ked up situation through vocal anger and protest. But they probably won't bother seeing as how the mainstream "cultural" pop music artists they are fed night and day like this Sheeran lad don't want to address it either, he's singing about cats and fluffy kisses on the cheeks behind the bike shed.
Where is the energy? The anger? The protest at the actual grim reality situation for all the young people today? Sheerans shtick is Total absolute fake manufactured soap opera pop nonsense.

Was that video shot in O'Connells pub on Eyre Square? Remember drinking at O'Connells when I was there with my friends a few years back. Looks like the same pub in the video.

    Also the Irish dancing

Don't get everybody's hopes up by juxtaposing Ed Sheeran and Shot in the same title.

I thought that too... someone had read the other thread about Ed's true reptilian nature and taken matters into his or her own hands.
