Fuji Absolute Vs Kellys Physio

Hi there, looking to get a new bike for commuting around town.

I'm in between 2.

Fuji Absolute 1.9.

OR

Kellys Physio 10.

The Fuji is heavier, but has disk brakes and is 80 quid cheaper, I prefer the look of the Kellys and it's lovely and light. I don't do huge milage so just want a nice bike on the bike to work.

I've decided where I want to buy it from, the guys there were very helpful and I want to give them the business.

Will someone make up my mind for me???

the photo of the kellys here seems not to match the description; which would suggest a triple chainring?

from what i can see the fuji is also a triple?

i have the fuji absolute 1.1 and like it, though as it's my first hybrid i've nothing to compare it against. seems like the 1.9 uses the same frame as the 1.1 anyway.

what i find strange is that it seems to be very hard to find details of the kellys online!

If nothing else the Kellys on has on front chain ring a 46t if you live near or planning on cycling up any steep hills you made find yourself in bother.

Out of the 2 I'd go for the fuji as it's nicer looking to me.

To be honest though neither would be very appealing at their respective price points.

Yes I know halfords but I've had a halfords hybrid for 8 years now and it still runs smooth and is basically the mule that gets abused and keeps on plodding along. Nothing has been replaced from stock except brake pads.

Can't find specs that agree with the pics for the Physio 10. Fuji is heavier because of disc brakes most likely being the main difference. Out of the two I would go for the Fuji.

It also has a steel fork which probably wouldn't aid weight loss

the description mentions 27 gears though.
to be fair, i think whoever is managing content on that site needs to do some proofing:

Their is a 2017 one which seems to have a 1x8 or 1x9 set up on it, none of it makes sense.

Yep, similar here; http://www.donnybrookbikes.ie/kellys-physio-10-2017/ 46/34 as a low gear would make it a poor choice for any longer hilly spins unless you were very fit. While I've an older Kellys bike myself which has served me well, I'd agree the Boardman looks like a much better option for the money

Thanks for this, I'm pretty much stuck with buying at that store (Donnybrook Cycles) so sadly the Halfords option is out.

I've got the Fuji at home but it's been niggling at me, I firstly really liked the Kellys. I'm veering towards sticking with the Fuji now based on some of your comments.

They have this which is probably better than the pair mentioned above.

You made the right decision. We can talk specs and geometry all day, but if the bike makes you feel good, then it is the one for you!
