Problem with ISEO front door lock

Hi ,i have a problem with the front door(Munster joinery type)

If the door is locked inside and the key left in lock and someone then unlocks the front door with a 2nd key the lock doesn't work properly and i have to fiddle about with both keys to get it back working properly and the keys extracting as they should.

Is there a trick to this procedure when it gives trouble? and do i need a new barrel? Thanks

Quite possible the pins have worn down inside euro cylinder . Have you tried squirting some WD40 into lock then try it out.

Ok i thought you weren't supposed to put wd40 into them.Isnt it a degreaser?

They're not really designed to take two keys at a time.

Munster Joinery or any other good locksmith can fit a static fixed knob on the inside of the door, meaning you won't have to leave the key in the lock causing this problem.

You could fit a new Euro cylinder as a DIY job in under a minute, no need to get MJ out for such a small job.

There's always the old argument for/against thumbturn cylinders! I heard of a new type, think designed by an Irish company where you need to press a little button in the centre of the interior knob to unlock the cylinder, makes it childproof and a bit more secure than a traditional one.
I'd certainly be putting an anti snap cylinder in there at a minimum. The basic ISEO cylinders are very weak.

OP, you don't need to replace with another ISEO, they're a universal fitment you get the right depth/offset.
