    Is it possible to obtain your criminal record print out from the Gardai or from the Freedom of information act

    Yeh as far as i know. Its not even foi. You are entitled to know everything they have on record about you.

    Not quite. You are entitled to know certain information they have. You aren't entitled to, say, intelligence on pending matters / that they intend to raid your house tomorrow.

    Yes, you can get it under data protection law. See here about how to make a request for data in this way:

    As Victor points out, you can't get information being held about an investigation or possible future prosecution, but you're entitled to know what records they have about past prosecutions and/or convictions and any other information. You would make your request to the Garda Vetting Unit. See here for more detail and to download the standard request form:
