Virgin and Meteor customer service

Considering switching from Three as they have 'retired' my price plan and upped the price. There appear to be better deals with Virgin and Meteor but was wondering what their customer service and networks are like. Any advice appreciated.

Virgin piggyback on the 3 Network, some people find that it works better than on the regular network. As far as I know they have an issue that you can't receive text messages from short code numbers.

Meteor's network for me I found patchy.
