It would've been interesting to see him if he had the opportunity to sign a huge deal with the likes of Nike or Adidas as i don't think they'd have had time for a lot of his antics.

Adidas own Reebok, so I don't think they'd have a problem considering he's already has the biggest deal with them within in the UFC.

A quick Google suggests he's worth about 750m. If investing all that alone, would need a 33% return, so a few years yet. If he's still making 50 odd million a year in endorsements though...

You're ignoring the compounding effect though, say he earns 4% on 750m this year, next year he earns 4% on 780, the year after that 4% on 811 etc. Within ten years he could have a billion, provided he has enough coming in in income to match what he spends, hardly an unreasonable assumption.

Unless the athletes have business degrees they'll never be billionaires. George Foreman hit the lottery with the George Foreman grill, but I don't think he's even a billionaire. And that grill is still selling like crazy after 23 years.

People talking about McGregor being a billionare need to get a grip, it's never happening.

Michael Jordan is a billionaire, but it's taken him 30 odd years of selling the most popular sports shoe on the planet to get there.

Golfers and tennis players get into the hundreds of millions because they have relatively long careers and massive endorsement opportunities with sports companies and financial institutions because the sports are catered to high income earners and their families almost exclusively so banks like Santander or Barcleys will sponsor the likes of Federer or Woods and pay them to be in their advertisements.

Conor is in ads for gambling companies and doing endorsements for sketchy investment companies, and that's his limit in terms of corporate engagement.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's another example of a prize fighter who makes a hundred million and pisses it up against a wall and snorts it all up his nose within ten years, because that's far more likely than him ever making a billion.

Would you actually care if he call him (or her) Rocky.

oh oh if its a girl it might be Ali?

    Not a girl. He's already confirmed it's a boy.

It was a nod to the fact he says a lot of things

Not trying to troll here or anything but i remember the alverez press conferance and eddie said conor had 2 babies on the way. Was there ever anything to this or was it just poor mind games by eddie ?

The implication by Eddie is that Conor knocked up another girl based on whatever he heard. It may have been complete nonsense. In the small event it was true, I imagine there was either something rhyming with smishsmorshin clinic visited or a Non-Disclosure-Agreement signed.

Gotta assume it was complete BS at this juncture.

Yeah it was odd for Eddie to mention it (like how would he even know?). Then for it to never be mentioned again  Conor also didn't react to it at all. Strange, call me naive but from the impression I got from Conor I thought he was staying loyal to Dee. I dont know the lad, it was just the impression I got off him.

I don't even know, it was such a lame insult it didn't really warrant a reaction, the crowd didn't react either. I mean how would Eddie's camp have that sort of information and not the Irish media, or even whispers out of SBG.

Even if it was true, its a bit of a dick move to bring up his personal life. I know conor made jokes about brailians and stuff but he never brought someones personal life into it.

Brought up RDAs kids and that he lives in the US, brought up lots about the Diaz brothers.

Not saying it's bad or anything but McGregor has of course brought personal lives into it.

When Eddie said that one of the most awkward sileneces of that whole build up followed, although the whole build up was cringey from both of them.

It was obviously a bit low but the way Eddie brought it up was pretty good. Having two kids but his wife adding having twins is a great heel line.

A few green tinted glasses being worn here I think from lads saying McGregor hasn't brought anybody's personal life into it.

Don't think it was below the belt at all, everything is fair game with Conor, he'll say anything to get a rise, I just personally thought it was quite poor insult and it fell flat.

He didn't say anything to personal about the diaz brothers? He made jokes and called them slightly racist names for sure, but it all stayed at surface level stuff. If I remember correctly to RDA didn't he just say something like why is your son called johon or someting along those lines, just basically insinuating he was a fake Brazilian? He wasn't actually abusing his kids.

I dont have green tinted I dont care either way, just dont remember Conor saying anything offensive bout peoples families.

"I'm going to rearrange his facial structure. His wife and kids will never recognize him again".

That's what he said about Eddie. I suppose it all depends on what people find offensive.

To me that is just him saying he is going to beat him badly, not actually insulting his kids or wife, if you get what I am saying? I know he has mentioned peoples kids but it was to make a different point. He never directly insulted them.

Weird after Eddie's comment about not having twins, CM didn't respond with the usual "what the fook are you talking about", he just stayed very quiet.

The time I remember Conor going to far was when he said something like "If this was another time id ride into the favela and kill anyone not fit to work" or something along those lines when he was at the press conference with Aldo. Even though it had nothing to do with Aldos family.

It'll be interesting to see how becoming a father changes his outlook on those type of comments in the future or how he copes with similar comments from his competitors.

You'd suspect in the future he might have just stopped at "your wife will never recognise you again" and just leave any mention of children out of it.

This was a classic scene Nate had McGregor absolutely snapping the comment at the end ''you're on steroids'' gets me every time.

Everyone Conor had smack talked before Nate either didn't speak English or was so dumb they couldn't think of any reply. Even Eddies "There is no Santa" was just plain stuipd. Nate owned Conor in the smack talking a fair number of times, would have loved to see a Conor v somone who can talk sh!t like Sonnen. Would make for an interesting fight build up.

It's not even than Nate's particularly good at smack talk, he just legitimately doesn't give a fu*k, it doesn't mean anything to him.

What happened to that likeable guy, the funny quick witted philosopher? Now we are left with this maniac who just shouts Fu!k as loudly as he can, no class, no humour (at the moment)

He used to be someone I'd like to have have bumped into and said hi
Now he just sounds like someone you wouldn't want to "bump into" by accident at the pub
In my opinion he beat Aldo mentally before the fight, but he had to turn himself into a monster to do so.

I became a big fan of Conor's, and so did a lot of people who never even watched his fights(I did). He has given us all some truely amazing moments, some early morning moments when you just feel happy to be alive cos sometimes life can be so much fun. Stay up all night to watch the fight, then can't sleep afterwards cos you've just witnessed greatness. I've shared these fight moments by myself, or with my friends, but always with my neighbours. I'm sure I have terrified them in many early mornings with my encouragement :-)

My mates are big MMA fans, so I've watched many fights at sessions. I first came across Conor on that RTE documentary while channel surfing, after his First UFC fight, and I was captivated. Such a charismatic dude. My partner asked me what I was watching, I said I dunno, just some cool mo fo, and we sat and watched the whole thing.

He really is a rockstar and I respect him so much. It's sure to make an amazing movie one day. I'd like to see him get his old spirit back though.

    Anyways

I know Nate is thick, Conor got annoyed that Nate was to stuipd/didn't care enough to get upset about the smack Conor was talking.

He's not stupid, he just doesn't care. It's not real to him, he grew up in the ****tiest part of the ****tiest city in California, some random guys talking crap is nothing to him.

Im not calling him stupid because of the conor smack talk stuff, I watched him in interviews quite a bit on MMA hour and stuff and I find him kind of punch drunk.
