Only one thing so far.
EW interview with rian Johnson talking about getting into Luke's head for 8 and asking JJ a favour. The script had BB8 going to Skellig with Rey. He asked could they change it to R2 for story reasons.

My immediate thought having been to Skellig was it BB8 had somehow made it up all those steps that's the biggest Star Wars plot hole ever.

But it's R2 thankfully.

They stopped working long before. He got blasted somewhere in the clone wars animated series and they stopped working I think.

Apparently that shot was taken on Skellig but it is odd they didn't go for a 'prettier' shot of Rey. It's vanity fair after all.

She did say she was suffering from a heavy cold when filming the final scene of TFA which could explain it. But it could have been taken weeks later .

Yeah 8 was totally in the can before her death. 9 has been rewritten from page one as a result of her death.
