    Hey guys,

I've applied to DCU for primary school teaching and also a BA, I've got the points for a BA but 10 less than primary teaching. I was just wondering does anyone know the rough dates for the mature student interviews as I have a pretty major surgery scheduled in April, which can be rescheduled, and I obviously don't want to be doped up on morphine for the interview!

    Thanks

Hi, I had my interview for DCU yesterday. They asked the questions I expected, nothing really threw me. To know the course modules inside out is really important, they asked several questions about the course. Also know the career path it leads to, that was also discussed. I'm in my 40s so they asked me how do I think I'd get on if I was the only mature student in the room. I expected that one and had a good reply. They told me that a lot of mature students struggle with math. How would I cope with that. Again I expected that and had a good answer. They will probably ask you about finances and family commitments. Overall its somewhat informal but at the same time they ask a lot of probing questions so be prepared. Hope this helps you. good luck.
