I only really listen to crime podcasts. My favourites are casefile and the trail went cold they just tell a good story. I prefer ones where there's just one presenter.

    I also listen to:
    Felon true crime
    Already gone
    Thin air
    In the dark
    Someone knows something
    The vanished
    Breakdown
    Criminal
    The unresolved
    Thinking sideways

Then I haven't yet got around to s-town, missing Maura Murray, and Alberta Williams.

Listening to True Crime Garage and their coverage of the Casey Anthony case.

Also recently found The Last Ovation and Inside Psycho

Inside Psycho is pretty disturbing. The sound design is very unnerving.

Felt some Casefile withdrawal this week - just started "Who Killed Alberta Williams"

    RadioLab on nukes.

Good insight from the veterans and into the historical factors

Listened to real talks with Alan O'Meara.

One on one interview with high profile GAA players but delving into their personal life and their opinions on a range of topics.

Last one with Noel Connors of Waterford was very interesting.

    Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Gimlet are the absolute leaders in podcasting these days.

Between Homecoming, Reply All and Crimetown I am kept utterly happy. Seriously high standard production levels and GREAT subject matter.
    Crimetown is SO SO good.

I listened to Radiolab for the first time today, an ep on a woman who found herself with a status of not officially existing because her parents were libertarians who didn't get a birth cert, didn't send her to school, etc. Interesting topic. I got a real vibe of "too many cooks" about the production though and the fast editing of everyone interrupting each other or talking over a contributor to give more context was an annoying style quirk to me.

Felon podcast - another Australian true crime podcast. At the beginning his voice was really annoying me but i got used to it, he covers some cases i have never heard of. The episodes are all around 30 mins long so its easy to listen to it.

I enjoyed it and will keep it in my feed.

the black tapes- the acting is a bit hammy but the story is pretty good if you can get over that .

I finished they walk among us today. Most are nice and snappy about 25 min long. Nice filler between Casefile

Today I listened to a first few episodes of King Falls AM. Small town late night radio style. Kind of twin peaks tone, tongue in cheek humour.

Been looking for something like it for awhile now and I have to say I like it.

His voice is kind of annoying though - its so "perfect"or something. I do keep it in my feed though as something to listen to when i am stuck.

I finished off the rest of the Felon podcast. Casefile fans should give it a listen, its another Aussie true crime podcast. He covers cases i have not heard of and its a good back up true crime podcast to have in your feed!

    It only gets better. Enjoy.

Listened to the Aubrey Plaza episode of Ana Faris Is Unqualified today, I enjoy the casual format a lot.

I've been listening to Ponzi Supernova - it's about Bernie Madoff and has interviews with people involved, including Madoff himself and the people who investigated. It's very interesting and seems to suggest that many of the big firms who invested with Madoff knew well what he was doing but as they were making money out of it, went along with it.

Am currently listening to Real Crime Profile. They talk about murder cases such as OJ, Meredith Kertcher and Reeva Steenkamp. It's very victim focused and I just love the dynamic between the three hosts, FBI criminal profiler Jim Clemente, Laura Richards, former Scotland Yard, and Lisa Zambeti who is a casting agent for Criminal minds. They delve into each case and on the last episode they give their theories of what they think happened on those nights.

Listened to the Jennifer Pan episode of Casefile over two days, it's a long one. Bizarre story.

I also listened to the Chris Gethard episode of Made of Human with Sofie Hagen. Hagen is a comedian and I enjoyed her other podcast, Comedians Telling Stuff. Made of Human is different but enjoyable.

I started listening to 74 Seconds, which is an MPR production, and so far I'm finding it very interesting. It's about the shooting dead of a black driver by a cop who had pulled him over for a traffic offense last year, and the current coverage of the cop's trial. The aftermath of the shooting was streamed live on Facebook by his girlfriend, who was a passenger in the car. The whole thing from flashing cop car lights to death took 74 seconds.

The episodes are short - 15 to 25 mins - and so far haven't been very legalese-heavy or requiring a lot of concentration. I had previously listened to a bit of Undisclosed, a spin-off from Serial, but I found the legal technical stuff and the way they tell the story too complicated.

74 Seconds is a bit upsetting in parts. And I'm not easily upset by these kinds of stories. But it's intriguing.

I heard a plug for this somewhere. Will check it out, when I get a chance.

For some reason, Bill Maher's show from last week, episode 427, never showed up in my feed. Looking around elsewhere, it's not playable. Dunno if this is because he dropped the n word or just a glitch.

Taking a break from Casefile so started listening to Hardcore History again, downloaded Prophets Of Doom, Dan Carling is superb. The amount of research he does is insane and how he is able to recall so much information and fact is very impressive.

Casefile would be the only podcast I'd pay for.

Am going to start listening to casefile today. Would you recommend listening in any particular order? Are they chronologically organised or can you listen here and there?
