These had aircon as well I think?
My cousin had one of these, meridian special edition, has the nice bumpers and half leather and stuff, but steel wheels.

Didn't even look for that actually. What kind of a car are they in general? 2 previous lady owners from new.

I agree completely. Only downside is I need a radio code. None came with the car. She's half leather inside. The leather has taken a pounding from 17 years of the sun though. 110,000 miles on it. I'll either keep it as a spare or put it back up for sale in a few weeks. I'll fire up more photos as soon as I can.

    Petrol or diesel?

Is the radio locked, or ready to put code in? Is it ---- or ****? If it's ****, try 1111, that used to be the standard Pug 306 code.

Just asking for the code. I incorrectly entered it twice. I'll try 1111 and see how it goes.

It might lock out if it's wrong. If it does, disconnect the battery for half an hour, should reset.

On a completely, totally unrelated note, I've 2 car stereos for sale. :pac:

    She's 1.4 Petrol.

My focus has the dreaded 1.6 Diesel engine.

If you're in Cork no problemo :pac:

Some more photos of the car.

The 1111 radio code doesn't work either

Maybe I'm wrong but the engine bay pic seems to suggest that it has air-con but the dash pic has no air-con button.
Anyone else spotting that? Right side of the engine near the block there is a typical looking air-con pipe which a silver clasp.

Where do you see a air-con unit in the engine bay? For my untrained eye I do not see one.

2 photos here of the area in question, I see no trace of air con though.

Stupid me I meant the left side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,308 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

That black box on the intake manifold? Maybe it is just part of the intake system.

    I'm no expert though.

Marked that for you... It is right side (of the car).

Shouldn't there be a compressor as well?

Shouldn't there be a compressor as well?

And not only, there should also be the radiator and second air con pipe which I can't see.
Either it isn't actually an air con pipe which would really surprise me or the majority of it has been removed.
Happened to me with an s40 I had, pipes were left but the rest removed.
I had the button though so it's strange but I'm fairly positive that car had air-con at some stage.

Love this. Nice spec low mileage e240 with NCT to 2018 and tax to 5/17 - €750

Love it too. Imagine someone paid €365 genuine tax on that just a few weeks ago and now they're looking for just €750 for the car.

    My ads on adverts.ie:

Victron stuff for sale, Multiplus-II, Quattro, other inverters and batteries and usually some watches!

They're still a classy looking car in Avantgarde spec in my opinion.

I note its only done about 70 miles since passing the NCT too.

    Luxo-nomics at its finest IMO!

Not the sexiest looking car on the planet granted but on the surface looks good value?

2008 Kia Carens Diesel NCT to April '18. From a dealer - maybe a good thing?

Looks like an AC compressor to me. Is the belt driving it?
