Identify type of nails going into concrete wall and wooden post

Could someone tell me what the nails going into this wooden plank and external wall are called? They have a hollow head on them.
What's the best way to take them out? I've tried a crowbar but no luck yet.

I saw the pic and now its gone. Poor enough pic to look at on my phone but I think they are express nails. I only ever managed to pull the timber through the nail and then hit them side to side until they broke but I am sure someone will have a better suggestion than that.

Sounds like express nails or sometimes called spring nails.
You could grind the head off and then crowbar the wood away leaving the nail behind or cut the nail between the wall and the wood if possible.
