I'm not familiar with the colours of County Italy. :)

County Italy's flag is red, white and green. It's soccer colour is sky blue, the colour of the House of Savoy whence Italian Unification originated.
Venezuela's flag has the same colours, red, yellow and blue, as Colombia and Ecuador, with which it was united for a time after independence from Spain as Greater Bogotà. All three having the same colours is a bit awkward in soccer, so Venezuela decided that if you stir all three colours in a pot you get wine colour, hence their gansey.

On April 1, 1974, a man called Oliver "Porky" Bickar carried out an April Fool's prank in Kruzof Island, Alaska.
    What did he do?

Exactly! The locals thought Mount Edgecumbe was erupting due to the smoke from the burning tyres. He was planning it for years apparently.

Well there's no law that says you can't nip in to answer/post a question and nip out again.

I'm in the same boat JB, but I think lots of fast questions is better than obscure stuff that has to be sweated out. I rarely get to answer though, most of my questions are 'spares' that I throw in to keep it going - and they get answered immediately! :D

So, just to get a question going again.

In the Star Trek universes the same actress has voiced the ships computer. She has also appeared onscreen as various characters in most of the TV series.
    Anyone know her name?

Love Star Trek always have done, I have seen every episode so many times.

No I am not going to answer just yet, let others have a go ps I will also avoid giving clues on another person's question.

I think you are right, she was in the very first one as No. 1 as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,641 ✭✭✭✭OldGoat

    Yep it was Majel.
Interestingly enough she has been in all six of the TV Star Trek series and she will be in the seventh too. A new Star Trek series is about to be launched, Star Trek Discovery. Before her death Majels voice was recorded phonetically and the intention is to use it again as the computers voice.

Keeping with the Trek theme, why is October 24th, 1991, a significant date for trekkies?

A pure guess but that would be about when Gene Roddenberry died. I'll go for it being his death.
