    Hero.

I was tempted to try that with my bottle of wine for dinner but, knowing my luck, I'd smash a bottle of very nice Boudreaux. So, the old reliable corkscrew was employed instead.

Garlic crusher. Especially if you're using four odd cloves, job is done in seconds and garlic is perfectly minced.

    The humble tea towel.

Which is probably also one of the most unclean items in a house., drip drying is the healthy and lazy way.

Aeropress, proper coffee without the mess or expense. Such a simple piece of kit.

Downside is that I can't drink instant anymore. It's all shyte.

Padre Pio fridge magnet. Don't know where I would be without that.

Tea towels are used on washed, clean dishes and if you wash them regularly and don't leave them scrunched up in a damp ball or something, why would they be unclean?

I like getting dishes put away soon after they're washed, and there isn't that much space to let them drain dry.

I had to look them up. I like that they don't seem to be electronic. Are you very much into your coffee? The difference between Aeropress and a cafetiere seem subtle?

I used a coffee machine until it broke and reverted to a press, just a stainless steel one instead of glass this time, because the glass ones were always getting broken.

I really dislike the new plastic pod style coffee machines now because they are very wasteful.

Remote control for tv and sat box. Jesus imagine having to get up each time to change channels.

If the batteries die just get a broom :)

I don't drink coffee. But, these Air Chip Cookers interest me. I eat a lot of oven chips, out of the microwave ..... I wonder?

In that vein ~ size group? My micro's and my Electric Pressure Cooker. F**k, yeah!

Want to get Small? My cooking / eating knife! Fifteen years ago, I wandered into a street corner, specialist catering equipment shop. In Hull. East Yorkshire. I asked for 'A knife to eat my dinner with. Generally cut sh!t up. And I'm not that clever with keeping edges .....'

Bloke gave me that French Waiter, " I Understand " look. Sold me This:

I could skin a f**king mouse with the thing! Scary sharp, to this day. Used Every day. Wouldn't know where to begin sharpening it, if I ever needed to :) Buy one. Thank me.

I'd like a pressure cooker but I'm slightly terrified of them.

Eeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww yyyyuuuuck - chips cooked in the microwave. Sounds absolutely disgusting.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Canis; These things are an absolute game changer. And no more scary, or dangerous, than a kettle. I always thought my Slow Cooker was the bees knees ~ what, like, forget to put it on and ye eating at gone midnight

Bang a curry, chilli, stew, what ever into my " Instant Pot " EPC and the bugger's ready in half an hour! :) Mate of mine's much more adventurous. He's done Glazed Ribs and all sorts in his! Bit of a gourmet.

Joey' McCain Oven Chips. And, believe it or not, they come out great ;)
