Price for exterior paint job on two-storey detached house

    I got a price for painting outside of two-storey house and boundary wall at front. Price is €1100 and I buy paint. I've used these painters before for painting inside and their work was very good and mess-free. Just wondering if price is reasonable. This is in West of Ireland.

    I rang another painter for a quote, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Meanwhile, these painters say they can start Monday.

    It's an old house with high gables, which might make it more difficult than some.

    Use the owle quote of 3 rule,,
    Quote 3 painters and see if they are all the same ballpark, Dont forget there's bargaining in every quote so be prepared to be a tough bargainer!

    To be honest 1,100 euro is very cheap for that job, unless it's only getting 1 coat of paint! How many buckets did they tell you to buy? 1 bucket = 10 litres

    Number one rule when painting exterior is make sure it is power washed. No point in painting over dirt!

    We just got a two story detached house, close in size to the one in the photo painted for €550.
    It was two coats as it hadnt been painted in ages. No front wall though like in that picture.
    Great job done. We bought the paint.
    We got other quotes for €800 and €1900. Went with €550 as they had done a great job the year before on the house across the road and the price of course.
