    Hi, im selling an item online in sterling - is paypal the best portal to use for this? is there a way to avoid fees?

    For payment you can use Paypal but you will be charge fees depending on the total money received.

    With PayPal you can have different currencies in the same account. You can leave it in the account and use it when you want to pay for something in sterling. If you use it to pay in euro or move it to a euro bank account, then it will be converted.
