How soon can you take bus lessons after passing your test for a B licence

Good evening, folks,
I recently passed my driving test (B licence), so I'm now a novice licence holder. However, my main goal is to acquire a bus (D licence) as soon as possible. Is one allowed to do the relevant training and possibly sit a test while still a novice B licence holder? Many thanks.

I can't find any info stating you have to have the full B licence for any period of time but you do need to be at least 24 years old in order to obtain a learner permit for Category D.

Its 21 for a bus but you need all cpc done

Full D licence can be done when over 21, Means having to do CPC 1 (Theory) and CPC (Case Studies) before applying for provisional licence.

If over 24, Only need CPC 1 to apply for it.
