Spanish enclave in UK?

I was thinking, the Brits could easily sort the whole Gibraltar fiasco if they offered the Spanish a few simple acres of undeveloped land down in Cornwall.

Overnight you'd see tapas places popping up, pubs and nightclubs where teenyboppers can easily get inebriated on dirt cheap shots (which is the only reason why many British teenyboppers go to Spain anyway). They could have a bustling economic hostpot in a place where nobody bothered going before. The king of Spain could get a new holiday home for when he gets sick of the heat in his own place. Every Spanish bank, supermarket and mobile phone company would be dieing to set up shop in this little artificially sectioned off part of Spain and it would provide much needed jobs for the Spanish.

I don't know why "enclave exchanges" aren't more popular. Imagine if there was an Irish enclave in some place warm. There is almost unlimited potential to turn many an acre of desert land into a tigering hive of an economic moneyspinner

Great idea, now you just have to get it to Mrs May.

Well, we have the Spanish Arch in Galway, does that count or help towards anything?

The Spanish can feck off with their whinging about Gibralter. They have two even bigger cities on the Moroccan coast that they flat refuse to ever countenance returning due to the fact "a majority wish to be part of Spain." Some brass necks out of them.

It would have to be somewhere in Britain that's of equal military and economic value.

Simple solution, trade possession of the and the populations of Gibraltar with those of Ceuta and Mellila. Spain gets to paint the map yellow, Britain still has its obscure overseas tax haven, Moroccans still have something to gripe about, everybody wins xd

They should act quickly and do a deal for some Scottish headland.

The economic value would always be there no matter where in the UK they put it there will be a horde of teens waiting to get drunk on cheap sticky sugarry bright coloured booze queuing up to get their visa to get in.

For military value they might have to go east coast instead so their missile silo would be in range of more countries (albeit friendly European nations who they probably don't want to bomb anyway)

Melilla & Ceuta, perhaps the Spanish could lead by example?

But that ruins the next step of the plan, which is after the precedent is set to get Northern Ireland back off the UK and divide it up among other countries in return for getting enclaves off them

The Moroccans can also feck off as they are occupying Western Sahara.

People worrying about pesky lines on a political map, when there is a whole big empty deserted universe full of planets out there waiting for us once we crack this FTL travel malarky.

There's probably a whole big free empty planet out there for every person in the world only a short hop away with even a primitive warp drive
