    Hi

There's a derelict property near us which is in terrible condition, but could make a fabulous home one day if done up. It's been lying idle for years. Is there any way of finding out who owns a property, in the event that you were interested in offering to buy it off them?

Start by asking the nearest neighbour about it. One of them is bound to be able to point you in the right .

    Best of luck.

You could use the property registration authority website https://www.landdirect.ie/ to locate the property and for a fee get a copy of the folio.

Looking up online for past planning permission applications on the local council website might also help identify who has an interest in the property.
