Minecraft Win 10 Won't launch

    As title says my son's game won't open, I found that there was an update but that didn't help, it shows the Mojang title screen then back to desktop.tried uninstalling, reinstalling didn't work. Can someone tell me where it installs to so I can try launch from there maybe. Google search was not any help some mention of java but they were old links.

    It's a Win10 app, so you can go to settings -> apps , and find it in the list. You can opt to uninstall it there, or hit advanced, and there's a reset option instead.

    i tried moving the installation to another drive but i cant find a way to start it from there (in the file folders) the result is the same if i try open it from windows store

    Does your son have any mods installed? If there was an update the mods will need to be updated to that version of minecraft (or removed) for the game to start.

    No. no mods installed,I am thinking it might have begun after the windows creators update, still looking for a solution

    I found it is a problem with my log in account. I created a new account for my son and although I could not log in to the store with my own account I got in to the game via the xbox live app, So a solution of sorts.

    I don't know what the problem is with my own account, I searched for solutions online and tried various things. Some people reinstalled Windows and it worked,I didn't want to go that route just now, anyway I found the suggestion that a new account might work and it did.
