As we didn't have a build up thread:

Apparently Doak is in the driving seat to replace Erasmus this Summer.

    Back on topic

Strong Munster side, can't see beyond a home win today but should be a good encounter before the main event this evening ;)

Munster have a habit of playing poorly with a strong selection the week before a big game. I've put a few bob on Ulster .

    You spelled wind incorrectly

So two full strength sides, that's very unusual for this fixture.

Was the 2012 HEC quarter final the last time Ulster sent a full strength side to Limerick?

Alas that day we had a pack of Tom Court (the Lion), John Afoa, Johann Muller, Stephen Ferris (who was ridiculously good) and Pedrie Wannenberg. Today we aren't near a set of forwards of that strength.

That said it is a big opportunity for Kieran Treadwell, this may be a bit of an Irish trial for the young lad against Ryan and Holland, if he goes well he get could a ticket to Japan in June. Jacob Stockdale is another, before last weekend he was the joint leading try scored in the lead and he is only 20 and hasn't even played that many games. He is the sort of guy Ireland need to get on board as soon as possible.

Ulster need the win more but it's hard to justify me predicting an Ulster win. Munster by 10.

Looking forward to seeing how Jacob Stockdale gets on at this level, he is a super talent. Good to see Ulster backing him at a young age.

    Some interesting head to heads

    Best v Scannell
    Treadwell v Holland
    Henderson v O'Mahony
    Reidy v O'Donoghue
    Jackson v Blydenhall
    Olding v Scannell
    Trimble v Earle
    Stockdale v Zebo

It could be quite an informative afternoon.

Munster to mince our pack and win by 7 million points.

But only to be up by 3 at half time... Paddy's giving 3/1 on that

I am of course exaggerating: they won't need to mince our pack, it's already pre-minced.

Murray Kinsella saying groin issue for Dunc. Imagine if Lloyd and Greisel were our SH's for next week!

Interesting they swapped them both out for one injury.

Stander also interviewed, and indicated he should be good for next week

Going to be highly embarrassing for Kiss and co if Lloyd plays well.

Was thinking the same! Fair play to him if he does!

It shouldn't but given the 9 situation it will. It's a loan right?

I'm surprised loaness an play against their "parent province", although I suppose the IRFU are the real parent.

In that case they have their best 9 playing and their second best 9 starting. Not sure how much criticism this should get outside of the optics.

Good score, poor maul defence. Missing Stander and Klyne here, need that muscle in those situations.
