Myers-Briggs Test

Have you taken the test? Are you happy with your result?

I took this a number of years ago but was talking to someone about it today. I am an INTJ. I found the test to be very good and agree with the findings.

I found this test version with a quick search online, though there may be better versions available:
    Myers-Briggs Personality Test

"The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-report questionnaire designed to indicate psychological preferences in how people perceive the world around them and make decisions."

What time will "The Leader" be popping around to collect the deeds to the house? I need to do a clean up before "The Leader" gets here.

I'm ESTJ on Myers-Briggs. It should be used more often for hiring suitable people for jobs.

If people knew it was being used for that purpose, couldn't they purposely answer in ways that would make them look like a more attractive employee?

(Honest question. I've not taken the test myself.)

If they were determined, and by guessing what 'type' the employers want, yes, but would most people not prefer a job they are well suited to? Why bother faking the test? If unsuited, you're hardly going to enjoy the job and mightn't last long at it.

Using the MB test for career guidance earlier in life might work better.

I remain an INFJ. It is very accurate for me but really these tests are just a kind of snapshot of a person. I wouldn't pay as much attention to them as I used to. We are more than a bunch of letters.

I didn't complete the test as I having gotten funding for training on how to answer the questions so now I'm on strike.

Eh? Afaik it's only meant as a guide. If the MB Test is considered accurate, why not? If not, they won't use it. Chill out. It's just a Boards thread.

I've taken the test a number of times over the last 25 years and it's always been the same.

INTJ - surprisingly accurate. Kinda scary reading it

think I got entj when I did it ages ago - some of the description rings true but I think I was close to average on all the traits so i could have ended up in a different category if I'd answered 1 or 2 questions slightly differently. I wouldn't consider myself strongly introverted or extroverted so it was accurate enough there.

Also dont most people on these threads tend to get intj even though it's meant to be rare? clearly a certain personality is attracted to posting on Internet forums

INFJ, have gotten INTJ in past too though but guess personalities shift. :D

    Is it?

The MB is not a valid or reliable psychometric test, although that doesn't seem to affect its popularity in any way. If you encounter a professional using it, please run a mile.
