Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Windows 10 Pro - Dropbox not showing; Right Click/Send To..?

    When I right-click on a folder and choose Send To, Dropbox is not an option.

    How can I activate this?

    Dropbox context menu missing or not working
    On the other hand, if you find that your Dropbox context menu item is missing or not working, try the following.

    Re-register the concerned DLL file DropboxExt.22.dll file which is responsible for its integration.

    Open a command prompt windows, type the following and hit Enter:

    regsvr32 “C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Dropbox\bin\DropboxExt.22.dll”
    If this does not work, you may need to repair or reinstall the Dropbox software.

    If it's just the 'send to' context menu item that you want, you can always create the shortcut yourself;

    I think I may have a problem then.

    If I do a search in Explorer for shell:sendto, or if I go long hand an look via C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo
    I cannot find SendTo.

    In fact, when I choose C:\Users\ there are three folder, defaultuser0, "my name" (though not as I would have written it) and Public.

    There is no AppData listed in any of those three folders.

    BUT, if I do a search of C: for AppData, it says it's in the "my name" folder - as one would expect. Yet, all that is in the "my name" folder are; Contacts, Desktop, Documents, Downloads etc....etc....down to Videos....

    No AppData.

    The only thing I've done since I installed Windows 10 two weeks ago is change it so that it doesn't ask for a Password on boot-up. Otherwise, it's as per installation.

    So, where could the AppData folder be?

    Sorted!

    In C:\View I selected Show Hidden Folders.

    I could now see the AppData folder.

    I was then able to browse to the Send To folder and I dragged Dropbox to it.

    I can now Right/Click/SendTo/Dropbox.
