It's easier and more suave for a man to pay with cash on a first date. Saves that awkward interaction with the waitress bringing down the machine, waiting for the connection etc.

first date better to go for a drink or a coffee. second date go for dinner. no point in shelling out 100 euro plus if you have no interest in seeing them again.

The guy whose card got declined...I was admiring his wallet. Is that a common thing (where you press a button and a card pops out) with wallets? Because I've not seen it before. Anyone got a link to a similar one? The card did pop out didn't it!?!? Looked cool but it was ruined by the card being declined obviously.

There was a slightly cheaper version with a banner advert here on Boards recently

I noticed that about the wallet as well, thought it was pretty cool.

I've been putting a lot of thought into the door thing. They have the side where people approach locked. You'd naturally reach for it with your right hand assuming you're in the majority of being a righty.
Why do they not have the other door open, I mean it's filmed in summer, right?
It must be a running crappy gag they have. Watch the nervous dope walk into the wrong door.

It's probably been pointed out already but that ins't the proper entrance for the restaurant. They make them come in through the balcony because it look's better or maybe to keep the hotel guests off the camera.

I'm finding the Irish series much more boring compared to the British one, they just aren't getting interesting characters. Especially the younger guys, what's your favorite TV show? GOT! wow me too!
Who's your favourite singer? Ed Sheeran! Wow me too! and on and on it goes...

I always wonder why people align their musical and film tastes as a barometer of compatibility. I mean yeah fair enough in terms of a revelation into their interests, but when they start to make it a reason to continue seeing someone it's a bit weird IMO.

Agreed. As much as I do like the Irish version, there seems to be more successful matches with the UK one.

Especially when their tastes are so mainstream , far enough if you like some obscure band or tv show but not the most popular stuff in tv and music.

They probably have a much large pool to try match up.

It's suffered very badly from the extended run this year. As everyone has already mentioned, the quality has dipped dramatically from the start til now. And as highlighted above, they simply don't have the pool.
