Not sure I'd have told that story about exposing myself on tv like the golfer did.

I definitely would have left that out and about the Community Service. It was a bit cringe but he seemed like a very sound guy.

I'm watching a recording of last Thursday night's programme ..... and in someways my heart goes out to the Sligo lad. He appears to be so socially awkward, maybe nerves got the better of him but I found him to be very negative, he is the type of person who could sap your energy fairly quickly.

He really annoyed me the way he handled the bill -

"Are we splitting the bill?.... or I really want to pay for it because I really want to be a gentleman". He clearly didn't want pay for meal. I think his date was very patient and understanding. I hope things look up for Sligo man but he has a bit of work to do on his confidence and social skills before he goes back on the dating scene. I wish him luck.

I'd say he guessed that neither of them was going to see the other again so didn't see the point in paying. They didn't appear to be a good match.

The poor lad was beaten before his date even entered the building, he's self esteem appears to be low. I'm amazed he applied for the show. Part of me wonders if it was to increase his (acting/film) profile.

I found him very very attractive at first (with his beard) but he turned up to the date clean shaven ....and then the story about having to do community service because he exposed himself completely turned me off.

He seemed like quite a nice chap till he came out with that. Definitely wouldn't mention it on a first date.

He is his own worst enemy. They had something in common that could generate a bit of conversation but he was just so negative about himself.

Hopefully he will learn from the experience.

I think they shouldn't have featured him..I think it was unfair on him,his date and not entertaining for viewers. He may have benefited from being one of the background daters but it was a very bad match either way imo.

On paper it was a good match. He was trying to be an actor and she was doing a film course. There's enough there for them to break the ice and get a but if conversation going. The thing that killed it was him, his lack of confidence and his negativity. If he had made a bit of effort and ditched the negativity they might have gone somewhere.

They seem like 2 people who would "...but you probably haven't heard of them" each other to death.

I liked the first couple, even though they didn't set the programme on fire. Very genuine people. Hope they both find their soulmates.
