I've SWITCHed! - General discussion - WARNING IN POST 1

Twitter is usually a good route for support generally as the tweet can't be deleted and it's public.
I've never used it for Nintendo issues, but have used it with other companies that were not responding in a timely manner to emails I sent...

I got the switch today.. it's unreal playing zelda for the last 3 hours... played an hour there undocked it's so cool. Just one question pressed the power button on my switch and put it in the dock.. is it turned off and charging now?? How to I tell that it's charging is there any light on should be seeing??

It will charge while docked, green light only comes on when outputting signal to tv. It might flash when you first dock, not sure. When undocked just hit the power button to put the console to sleep. If it's in sleep mode when you dock it it will display a little charging icon for a second or so on the screen, maybe even less it's easy to miss.

I tend to leave it undocked when not using, I'm paranoid about leaving it on charge when at 100% even though I'm sure they have some sort of way to ensure battery life isn't murdered by being at full charge etc. I'm the same with phones etc, never leave em plugged in overnight. I'm weird like that ha ha

I was holding down the power button to power off completely every time I was finished playing but it caused weird battery readings for me. Console suddenly dropping to low charge then restarting at 70% things like that. Been just using sleep mode every since day 3 and zero issues, only time I've powered down was to fix a WiFi connection issue after the first time setting up wired to the dock. Since then all's been good.

When docked it connects wired now super fast with no fuss then if undocked connects to WiFi pretty much instantly. Before power cycling I had to go to settings to set up wired every time. Just incase anyone else is having the same issue. Works great now.

Wonderful machine. Taking a trip this weekend so will finally get to play Zelda on the train

Same here - I was a backer of the OG Pebble. Hopefully the hacker community will continue to support them when Fitbit shoot them in the head...
