Line of Duty series 1 starts on RTÉ Two at 9:30pm on Friday 4th November.

Two episodes per Friday and it looks like series 2 will follow immediately after series 1.

I would recommend to any newbies

anyone got any ideas as to the When bit of the coming soon??

Bloody hell, they are rushing it a bit, hope the quality doesn't suffer - likewise it's complexity - could be dumbed down for a BBC One audience.

I'd hazard a guess at Thursday March 2nd. Death in Paradise finishes this week so that slot is vacant. Prime Suspect: 1973 starts that day too.

I'd hazard a guess at Thursday March 2nd.

No afraid not, that will be Britain on the Fiddle series 2.

Are they? It's airing around a year after the last season. Seems about right to me.

    Is that Thandie Newton?

Is she not going to be in the second season of Westworld then?

^ This was filmed last year over a month or two..

.. she's busy but it won't affect her commitment to Westworld.

Good :D. I'll be out of the country that week.

Looking forward to it. Though, as was said, I hope the fact that they haven't taken as long to write it is not an indication of a drop in quality. Despite the ending to the last series being a bit ott (more than a bit actually:p) it's still the best British TV show in yonks.

Ah fair enough, I only saw them all recently.

I'm glad I didn't watch from the start then so!

Got an email yesterday from netflix to say series 3 was now available but can't see it. Can anyone see it on netflix ireland?

Only 2 seasons there for me, mewso.

Flixsearch says we should have 3.

    Not the strongest season opener..

.. but as usual, the final scene is enough to have you crawling back for more next week.

Looks like our heroes are going to have their work cut out for them again after that ending...

I never saw this before but stumbled on last night's episode and when I saw it was an opener, stayed on it. Really enjoyable stuff and I can't wait for next weeks.

That ending is why binge watching a show isn't always the best way to watch a tv show.

The anticipation and waiting a week to see what happens adds to the excitement of the story for me.

    Utter horse**** of an ending.
Ha-ha, we killed the guest star again!
    Ho-ho, or did we?
Audience awareness on a Sherlock level that's unbecoming of the show.

I don't know - was a fairly unexpected development and the last frame was also unexpected. Let's see...

The 'fight' was ludicrous looking, like a first walk through of a stage play. The super meticulous forensics need not even checking for a pulse before going shopping was just inexcusably stupid. Jed Mercurio has made his name on realistic, rigourous procedures in his writing and this scene chucked that all out the window for a cheap shock.
