If you are born in a stable does that make you a horse?

it makes you whatever animal you are when you are born. so if a cow is in a stable and has a calf then the calf is a calf. the statement makes no sense.
This Trevor fella hated the country he was in. He had hate and hated being English.

    he is still english though
    Liberalism is a mental disorder.

The man who launched a terrorist attack on the UK Parliament has been named by Britain's Channel 4 News as British-born Abu Izzadeen, a known “hate-preacher” and a vocal supporter of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).

Izzadeen who was born Trevor Brooks in Hackney London, has been described as a hate-preacher after serving as a spokesman for the Al Ghurabaa group - an organization banned by the Terrorism Act 2006.

Update: it appears that press reports were wrong, because according to the BBC, Trevor Brooks aka Abu Izzadeen is still in prison. Which obviously means that he could not have been the attacker.

Do you want to wait another 20-30 years, keep letting people in, and then see what happens? From what I can see, with increased immigration from terror prone regions, and the increased number of attacks over the last 3 years, the problem is only going to get worse. The indicators are there.

Do you think radical Islamic terrorism is a figment of peoples imagination?

Oh i do love how you changed terminology.

Quite telling when the smarter posters twist it into radical Islam when they spent the thread thanking nonsense posts that were indiscriminately targeting all Muslims.

Very good work Hank. I expect no less though.

But yes in intrigued about all this super extreme Islamic stuff that's going on here where is it?

That big scary mosque in clonskeagh doing it for ya ?

Yep, they weren't submissive about it, but we're ok lads to work with until they were told what to do by a female.
They wanted to kill you, but you did nothing about it because they were "ok lads"? Seriously?

Secondly, to claim the IRA are terrorists is to claim that the British army were the victims. Get the **** out with that ****.

Considering the fact that the RUC and British soldiers murdered innocent people and abused Catholics, I think it's ridiculous that anyone can claim the IRA were terrorists for using violence against those genocidal bastards.
Not sure if the irony here is intentional or not...

So far there is nothing to indicate Erdogan is trying to import Sharia law.

He's 'only' turning it into your standard one man dictatorship with him as the new Sultan.

You seriously need to come off it.
It was an asian man, doesn't matter, its meaningless. Hence no one has 'commited' to the fact. He could have been born and raised, seventh generation in London and been a devout orthodox Jew.
You realise the UK, London especially has huge racial diversity, you can't take someones race and immediately assume you know their background or religion.
Everyone on here posting that they arent surprised it was an Asian or that the race of the attacker somehow proves the motive and ethos behind his actions is just racist. It goes beyond a xenophobic fear of immigrants or sectarianism. Its just blatantly and disgustingly racist. I question the intelligence of those people, and your comments about the attackers gender prove I am right to do so.

You seriously need to read between the lines.

Turkey is a single man's grasp to install himself as fully fledged dictatorship. Stop trying to construe it as anything else. If you keep it up it's very telling you don't have a grasp of the situation in turkey.

This man is using any tool he can to install himself . You might even say he used fear hatred and manufactured events to get what he wanted.

Hmmm sounds familiar to events across the pond.....

I would love for you to outline the 'racism' in the post.

You called it racism you basically called my words racist please stick up for your own post and back up what you said in detail 'pal'.

    I dare you.

    You're hiding behind semantics.

I'll do you a favour and rephrase. I'll admit I made an error in the choice of words.

You make a post about assumptions and the difference in individuals, then follow it up with a wildly contradicting viewpoint about an entire nation. Brilliant!

The KKK misuse bible teaching to justify their hate actually

I don't think it does anyone any good to pretend like there isn't a load of awful muck in the various holy texts.

    They don't misuse them.

What's important isn't the interpretation - it's that they're able to just ignore the stuff that's totally barbaric like us modern folk.

I'll take sensible people with a bit of cognitive dissonance rather than trying to give creedence to said holy texts which, when accepted on face value, justify all sorts of awful behaviour.

If anything, the narrative of "corruption" and the "religion of peace" and all that rubbish plays into the islamists hands, because even if they put aside the worst of the caliphate, "behead the infidel" rubbish, it could well further cement the softer, oppress women and gays rubbish, that's still causing problems in insular Christian communities.

The way to integrate Muslims is the same as we've integrated Christians into a moderate secular world view - by getting them to move away from what their holy texts say because they're undermined by reality, and not by theological debate.

    Ok so I'm not racist.

And I'm entitled to hold an opinion when stupid people elect a stupid man on stupid policies and are currently reaping the rewards of stupidness.

Britain to follow suit with brexit.

I wonder if the same questions were being asked in the countries who've suffered terrorist attacks in recent years, a couple of decades ago. Your inability to contemplate or even entertain opposing views makes you viewpoints come across as extremely ignorant.

What like the 60s ? When Indian and Pakistani people from the British colony's came to live and work for decades in the UK with no troubles.

Until the new concept of spreading fear and division showed up and tools are lapping it up like it's milk....

This was back in 2003, they were just here to learn six sigma and coding, 11 month contract with the job then back to the UAE.

Hated our way of life etc.. laughing at us in a really lefty multinational organization willing to put up with it.

Been there, I haven't met anyone like that since, but......the underlying undocumented rule from HR Is don't hire people of this leaning.

No no, I made a choice of words which were in the right ballpark, but you insisted on debating on it on the basis of being highly pedantic. Not racist, just guilty of wild generalisations about 300 million people, but .

What a surprise you don't like the democratic outcome of Brexit and the US election.

Maybe you should just get to decide on whatever you want on the basis of what you think makes sense or not.

You're obsessed with the use of the word "stupid" and "intelligence". You might want to consider these for your own posts.

But you said they wanted to kill you. If a white Irishman who you've known all your life tells you they want to kill you and you know they're serious, would you say to yourself "Sure it's just a temp contract and he'll be leaving soon anyway"?

Nah i think I'm happy with the terms , it's an opinion board i can have my opinion on the intelligence of individuals when they let feelings and groundless facts dictate their political decision making . It demonstrates an inability for critical thinking.

    So I'm good thanks.

OK, next time foreigners invade Ireland, introduce internment for Irish people and murder 14 innocent boys and men when they dare protest against the inhumanity of internment, the Irish people who use violence to free Ireland are the terrorists. Gotcha.
