Monthly saver temporary halt

    Hi,

    I have a 365 monthlysaver account that direct debt is setup on to transfer 100 euro montly from my personal account to it. However for the next 3 months, money is going to be tight. so can I put a halt on the direct debt for that period without having to close the account ?

    Hi tom_murphy112,

    Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

    While it is not possible to place a hold on your direct debit going to your 365 monthly Saver for the next 3 months you can request to push the direct debit out for 56days. You can also request to reduce the direct debit down to the minimum amount which is €20 per month.


    If you’d like to request above you can send your request via the service desk on Banking 365 online ‘Ask a question’ option or alternatively you can call BOI Direct on 0818365365/0035314044000 and a representative will be happy to assist you.

    Representatives are available Monday-Friday 8am-Midnight, 9am-6pm weekend and Bank holidays.

    Thank you very much.. I might bring it down to the 20euro mark for few months then.
