They do but its actually cheaper to get them delivered to Parcel Motel up north and then have them deliver down here. Saves around 5eur incl. of the parcel motel fee. Theyre also dispatched much quicker.

Looks to be Sony week over at amazon.es, a wide range of their headphones reduced.

The MDR-1000X black are currently €325

QC 35 €359 in Dixon's travel Dublin Airport today. Cheaper on high street.

While nothing to do with the costs, this article may be of interest to some of you...

Anyone ever hear any of the cheaper models going on Amazon like the Cowin E7 or similar priced ANC headphones? They seem to be getting good reviews.

Would like a set of ANC headphones for work but the missus will kill me if I buy another set of expensive headphones like the QC35s...

I was in the same position, and got them from Amazon Spain for €297, in anticipation of a flight. Think I paid a tenner extra for 2 day delivery. No regrets other than the missus tried them out and then stole them.

Tell her you bought them, then put them on, great way to test noise cancelling. :D

Anyone issues with the anc on the latest firmware? Seems to be plenty of belly aching on the Bose forum.
    Not noticed anything myself

Yeah there is, anc on latest firmware and the one previous has reduced anc substantially. Bose deny this but their forum says different

They agreed to take 20 sample qc35 from affected users in the us and uk to analyse them, however currently they say from their own internal testing nothing has changed

They are due to give an update on their findings of the 20 units from forum posters in the near future

I own a pair and i sadly updated the firmware, i feel they arent doing as good anc as they were out of the box

Bought them as a long shot to deal with a barking dog. It's like the dog no longer exists. It's a labrador with a very deep bark so maybe that suits the anc. Very surprised and happy about the outcome.

Quick question, these are Bluetooth, I have a pair before, NOT BOSE, after about 2 years the batteries wouldn't hold a charge.. is this a concern with these ? also can they be used wired ?

They can be used wired - although if the battery went completely, not sure if the ANC would work

I read a few of the reviews on Amazon and noticed some people saying that that the noise of people talking is not cancelled out, but transformed into a strange metallic noise, I guess this applies on buses /trains /planes. Also read one person saying that you cannot switch off the noise cancellation and, in a quiet area, this can mess with the inner ear and make you feel motion sick.....

Anyone any experience of either of these??

Thankfully I saw talk about the issues before doing any upgrading so still on the out of the box firmware and won't be updating until I see good feedback.

It doesn't totally block voice as that would be exceptionally difficult to do but they do reduce the "volume" of speech so it is at a much lower volume. If you are playing music at even low volume that's usually enough that you won't hear voice either much if at all. You can't turn off the noise cancellation if using bluetooth but after using them you won't want to even in a fairly quiet place, you can use them wired without noise cancellation though.

As for feeling sick, you will get over that after a few days. I felt weird after wearing them for the first 3 or 4 days (in any environment not just a quiet place) but after a few days I've never had a problem since. Even noise isolation ear buds did the same to me in the past so its an issue you may haev to face with any form of noise isolation/noise cancellation headphones.

Amazon Spain the cheapest place to buy a pair of these? Can't seem to find them cheaper anywhere and I really want a pair!

The Sony MDR-100ABNs are currently €199 on Amazon France:

These are closer to €300 elsewhere and reviewed by many on Amazon UK saying they are better than their BOSE QC 25s.

Might help someone, I'm gonna prob pick up a pair.

Here's a comparison of them vs QC 35s and it is definitely a worthy competitor in this tech reviewer's opinion, JUST siding for the QC35s:

Yes although recently I updated the firmware and their is a buzzy clicky noise in the right side, if I move my head slightly it stops but then starts again.

I only noticed this when watching on my macbook, havnt noticed it when listening via iphone though but that's probably because I am out and about with Iphone and its more noisier than when I am inside and I aint noticing it as much!?

    Anyone notice this?

This morning the dog was barking. A tractor was cutting grass in front of the house. A JCB was digging a new track beyond the field in front of the house. NADA with the headphones on in the house.
