Mould/growth in attic

I was wondering if anyone has seen anything similar, I was up the attic at the weekend and noticed these weird looking things over in the eaves at the gable side of the house.

I may be wrong... but that looks like a wasps nest to me.

They can come to inhabit vacant nests, so might be an idea to get it removed.

I don't think they re-use them, they build a new one each spring. If they're empty now, they'll stay empty. Though that small one looks like it might be a new one under construction (this is the time of year the queens come out of hibernation).
